sounds good...it surprises me that European road authorities do not view what northern countries or USA/Canada do to avoid drift accumulations on the roads...we've put up 'snow fences' and now are planting lines of fir trees but of course some places will not be helped by that...
I will never forget this one! we spent a week trying to dig my mom's driveway and the cul de sac out. The Jeffco plows didn't help much, either. Our old shed collapsed under the weight of the snow, as well. That was a fun cleanup job! The Saint Patrick's Day Blizzard of 2003 I think ranked as the 2nd worst blizzard in Colorado history.
if your passport is still valid, you might fly to Denver, the limo will pick you up and take you to John's place and you can relax in the new hot tub on the rear deck :)
it's a story that needed retelling in the UK...if people speak with you and say something about the "great storm", you can reply with something about the 5 foot of snow John had in 2 days but it wasn't the great storm...:)
Thnak you! I have printed one, I think it will be useful! You'll see when I post the video later.. well, ANY video with a model demanding a snowy background!! :) Cheers, R
I always cut around the cyclist and stomp the gas pedal to be as intimidating as possible when finally getting around a douche doing 15 mph on schwin ...I think cyclists should be banned from roads like us-285 and all major county paved roads here in Colorado . I have this negative outlook on cyclists because I've been stuck behind them many times on county roads ,and most note worthy are the times I've been stuck behind them traveling in a group on us-285 through the canyon on my way to c-470 .
the county had only plowed one lane at the time but yeah, bicycle ppl can be a real pain...they do get careless coming down highgrade in summer and slam into the guard railing...thanks for visiting and commenting and most cycle riders aren't really a pain so just a few are a problem.
it's 14erjohn who did the fotos that he sent to me a few years back. I must confess that I am a "flat land turister" as Snuffy Smith used to say in the sunday comics. Yeah, check with John. He's got some neat vids up.
I didn't have room to tell about the frat guys at Mich Tech. Snow in the UP could reach the 2nd floor windows so they'd slide down on cafeteria trays. That's the story from John :)
Cool! Nice job. I'd like you to include a couple pics on what was required to get to the box blade - it was buried in snow. I have pics if you don't...
I have the pics so will make a vid of retrieval of the boxblade. Slide scanning works ok now but I shall take an oatmeal (mmmm) break but I have the measure of the pile of slides now :)
Truely incredible, looks like Evergreen, or Rampart Range. In Idaho Springs, 72 inches fell in 36hrs out of that same storm!!!!!

if one lives on the plain of Denver, 30cm of snow could fall and because of chinook winds over the mountains, it would all be melted in 2-3 days :)

Looks like some of ours has started to melt a little now...

Very nice, but nearly all the pictures have features in them that makes them unsuitable for backgrounds.. I still enjoyed the video, though.. :)
