GOOD concept but I think you could have made use of some more compelling imagery from the movie, such as the old man dieing, Phil Commiting suicide, or Phil speaking poetically about winter.

You know, during the filming of Groundhogs Day Murray wanted to make it more dark. More philisophical. It probably would have been on the level of your trailer. Rumor is that is why Ramis and Murray don't work together anymore...or talk often.
