A poignant reminesce of a boy's hot summer, when the complexities of adulthood impinge upon the innocence of childhood. A film that demands repeated viewing .
Splendido. Quasi surreale. Corregetemi se sbaglio ma mi è parso che la colonna sonora di "Fog" (1980) di John Carpenter utlizzi praticamente lo stesso tema. Posso sbagliarmi naturalmente avendolo visto una sola volta proprio allora.
Saw this film at the cinema when it was first released. I was about 15. Script is by Harold Pinter. But even then, even as a fifteen-year-old boy - normally seduced by the vulgar excitement of an 'Earthquake' or a 'Towering Inferno" - even then I enjoyed it, was totally engaged by it, and knew that my engagement owed almost everything to the brilliance of the writing.
Esse filme é um dos maiores dos anos 70. A trilha sonora de legrand é maravilhosa e o elenco
é de primeira

Raindrops as tears for lost innocence? Gorgeous opening for a poignant story.

I agree to your opinion and I think "Julia" is one of them.

One of the most beautiful movie openings of the 70's. Classy and elegant. Great movie.

This is the beautiful beginning. Please help us with a clip from Leo's birtday tea with stunning Margaret Leighton leading him to the farm.

Leo is still glad and happy, not knowing this summer will change his life forever
