Kishore kumar is no doubt a good singer but is over rated bcos 90 % of the poulation doesn't know the intricacies of Music and that thing has been exploited. I grew up myself listening to first Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Rafi and a lot more singers but now when I listen to Mehdi Hasan or Ghulam Ali, I don't find anyone so close to their class as far classical performance is concerned .
Today's singers with puny westernised voices should watch Kishoreda singing live..What a manly voice that towers over music and still retains all emotions and mood of the song! He was God's gift to music industry and I feel that his potential was still not fully utilised in that era!

Kishore Kumar is the greatest singer ever on earth. A God gifted singer. The most versatile and the most honey coated voice.
Only Muslims dont like Kishore. They like the Be Sura and out of Tune Rafi becoz Rafi was Muslim.
Rafi was out forever after Aradhana became a hit in 1969. With the emergence of Kishore da Rafi became defunct and Besura old voice.

There is a difference between going out of tune and going sharp. This is a difficult song to render live with all the commotions around.
He was getting into the song in a different style and it certainly by no means is besura.

Totally out of scale, i disliked this live song. original song is much better than it.

I think mr Rizwan u r wrong. becoz i also felt that this songs goes flat on starting. Mein Kishore da ka bht bara bhagt thaa, per is song ko sunney k baad nahi hun. because he is a normal singe, nothing special.

Rizwan sb, he is not Gob that should always be praised. He is a humanbeing and he may commit with mistakes, this song is several times out of scale, but over all is good.

mein kishore k gaaney shoq se gata or sunta hun. lekin jo such hai wo such he hai. ye song shuru se thora bey sura hai.
timing0.54 se 1.06 tak to bilkul sur out of scale hain

@MrZainulabideen Dont you realise that its the horrible quality of recording that has caused the song to be bey sura. Its got nothing to do with Kishore ji's voice or the instruments played in the song.Listen carefully,even the instruments go bey sura...Thats not because they are played that way,its just the recording quality which is bad.

@MrZainulabideen hmmm achhi koshis,, us time tak 2-3 word hay almost(pura begining vi nehi),, jo thora low note pe gaya gaya hai, aoaj thora shaky lagta hai kiun ki itna pathetic recording hai almost music sunai hi nehi de raha, jo sunai de raha hai music o chaotic lagta hai,,, aoaj thora shaky lagahoga apko or logon ko bewkuf banane chale,,, aisi judgement leke 'shoq' se gaiye par kisiko bataiyega mat........

I COMPLETELY disagree with Mr. Zain. He seems to be a new one in music and a Rafian thats why he is dissing Kishore da publicly. I m a Rafian too but i respect kishore da equally. Dumb people cannot do anything except pointing fingers.

very good, Koshore kuma is a ver good singer lekin (timings)0.54 se 1.14 tak Kishore G Sur se dagmagaye hain. but iver all, it is ok. Acha gaya hai. Orignal Song is very beautifully sung. But live singing beu suri hai.

aaj tak mehdi hassan ko ooper walay notes per jatay huay nai dekha. Khul k koi bhi gana nai gaya mehdi hassan ne. hamesha daba ker ooper walay surr lagaye hain.Aur mehdi hassan se ghulam ali sahb bht behter hain.

mein bolta hun ooper walay notes nai lagte uss se. ooper walay notes are difficult and they create energy ina a song. mehdi hassan lacked this quality and as far as classical singing and ghazals are comcerned, ghulam ali sahb was better than mehdi hassan sahb

Listen to 2nd stanza. and listen to the word "Dil".
you listen to - Khuli jo aankh to wo tha.
Anyway- ucha notes lagane se gaana aacha nahi banjata. it depends on how words are conveyed through sur.
Kishore da didn't have any idea about bol bistar, bol tan's application in any song.

Kishore kumar is no doubt a good singer but is over rated bcos 90 % of the poulation doesn't know the intricacies of Music and that thing has been exploited. I grew up myself listening to first Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Rafi and a lot more singers but now when I listen to Mehdi Hasan or Ghulam Ali, I don't find anyone so close to their class as far classical performance is concerned .

Today's singers with puny westernised voices should watch Kishoreda singing live..What a manly voice that towers over music and still retains all emotions and mood of the song! He was God's gift to music industry and I feel that his potential was still not fully utilised in that era!

lol I loved it when he had the afterthought " baat such hai" after the first line of the song!!! I totally love his singing. songs those days used to have a meaning and were sung with such feeling, but now most songs are just...I don't know. They just don't live up to that level. We can't go back and listen to them because they get sickening after some time but these oldies you just don't forget.

Guys listen to this: I asked a friend of mine, "when did you last go to India"? He answered: Long ago and i don't go to India anymore, because Kishoreda is no more! Without Kishoreda India is not India anymore! And i just didn't say anything! It really made me think a lot! And guys i miss Kishorda nadly too! Such a pity!
