As for the metal I would leave it on especially if its in go shape If a leak was to occur it would not penetrate thru but obviously add new metal its not that much and if the bank is going to pay they are paying to do it right its called investment. good vid though
WE ARE NOT LAZY!! The costumer/bank did not want to pay to replace the flashing, if you watch the entire video we explain that you should replace ALL flashing. Yes you should never cut on top of shingles. As you can see we use hook blades and it does not cut the shingle below! We have been roofing for over 25 years and never had a leek. Thanks for your comment.
