Hello, i study to develop games. And to ALL the guys complaining. BOTH SS and TP are OUTSTANDING games. Do you even imagin the sheer amount of brain-grinding needed to make this masterpieces so you can just come here and blast them down with remarks. Everyone can have an opinion, but calling any of them both "crappy" or "shitty" or anything like that is wrong. If a game can make you hold your breath as you strike a demon with lightning, or as you snipe through a ghost town, it is awesome.
@JaleSwiftpaw Personally, I love it. Not as much as I loved the style of Wind Waker, but anything that gets rid of brown and bloom and makes a game look more like "A Link To The Past" is just fine with me.
How come the temple of time is in the woods? It takes place a little while after OoT so how can they relocate a city and then have trees everywhere with no other ruins?

@JEN4RO I agree, I was a *tad* dubious of Skyward Sword from its looks, but that's because Twilight was the last Zelda I played, naturally. I think the style works very well for Skyward Sword, and the gameplay and story are just brilliant!
@JEN4RO, I also love SKyward Sword. THe graphics aren't bad. It is better than a lot of other Zelda Games. It is colorful and the characters have a lot more personality. I already beat Skyward Sword and overall it is the best Zelda Game I have ever played.

@newcoolnarutard1 You say it looks like shit because of the art style, which is impressionist? Don't judge a game by the graphics. A game could have fantastic graphics but ultimately shitty gameplay and story (Sonic Next Gen, anyone?). I've played and beaten Skyward Sword...and it's fantastic.

@linkhero55 Nah, Twilight Princess has the best storyline. Its connection to OOT makes it feel that you are in the same universe. In addition I really enjoy TP because Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf all look like bad asses plus Midna was the best companion to date by far. The cinematic approach was great but this game was damaged because of its porting from the GCN to Wii.
@LordVerdo Skyward Sword does all of those better, it has more cinematic moments and doesn't have as much stale gameplay as Twilight Princess, not only that but its actually challenging. SS by far has the best connection to the other Zeldas, if you've beaten SS then you understand that the dialogue even alludes to the Zelda games that would come after it in the timeline. It honestly also has the better story, because not only does the game tie in at the end, but the entire franchise.
@linkhero55 I have beaten SS and in reality, yes it is the best Zelda game ever produced, but some of the characters in Twilight Princess I really enjoy. I prefer Ganondorf as a villain over Demise and I believe the entire Twilight concept is great in its own right. I just think the Twilight Princess story is mysterious. While Skyward Sword does succeed to do well in many things I believe a revamped Twilight Princess could be the best Zelda. I think its porting greatly damaged it.

i love how they reference ocarina of time in the last few games, especially this one. however when you enter the temple, why change the look. it would have been so bonnerific if the temple of time from ocarina of time had been what you walked into. with the stones floating there, and the master swords room with the steps ledding slightly off set, the light as well. then make stairs leading up to the wall or glass in the roof. would have been like.....original temple of time! would be so amazing.

@alaynaRayne: no power infused in the ocarina to time travel. The sword is not there becasue I feel like Kid Link is trapped in the Chamber of time for 7 years. I don't know, why it wouldn't be there though when it should. The Temple was destroyed in OOT, but when Link came back it rejuvenated the inside of the Temple. With Zelda of course sitting there waiting for the dumb kid to show up. Thats what I think. I know it is maybe wrong, but I like my perspective.
By removing the door of time you magically fucked this temple sideways Nintendo. Props for music and pedastal, but seriously the stones, whether they were found or not need to be there. Those statues removed and no staircase leading down into the Temple. Those little things pissed me off. I was like, thank you for doing this, but the original needs to be done exactly. White room and tile with the Black granite crown molding and Molding for the stones. Seriously. The original was beyond the best.
I'm sure there's a reason for the change. Like it is far into the future or perhaps even before the master sword was ever placed there. If we see this exact temple in SS then most likely this part of the game is in the past before OOT link ever got here. Nintendo has basically given themselves a window to do w/e they want since its clear that the temple of time in TP is isolated in its own dimensional space, therefore it can be in any time.
@AlaynaRayne What makes you think he didn't? You're in the ruins of the Temple of Time, then the door is unsealed, and when you pass through, suddenly everything is intact again.
@vehlajatt22 Keep in mind that this game was originally for the Gamecube, but since it came so late they ported it to the Wii. The wii version is a mirror flip of the Gamecube version, and thus Link is right-handed instead of left-handed. Also, it works out better to use the Wiimote, since most people ARE right-handed.
@Samiam10100 I'm not sure the temple of time will be included in Skyward Sword since it's set before ocarina of time, when the sages first created the temple of time...then again it is the temple of TIME so could be a set location in time and space :D 'course i could be wrong since i haven't read up on zelda in a while :P
I'll never forget the time I first played Twilight Princess and reached this point, as soon as Link stepped through the door and I heard that trademark Temple of Time music not only did so many memories of playing OoT come rushing back to me, the goosebumps on my arm took forever to go away

@zmatthew91 Actually, I believe it's not the same temple of time as the one in Ocarina. I believe that Hyrule 'moved' north of the Ocarina map. So, Faron Woods is connected to the Lost Woods and what-not. Dunno why they'd move Hyrule, but that's a more reasonable explanation for why the landmarks are rather different than the Ocarina of Time landmarks. But, this is all true IF you believe in the Zelda time-line theories.
Heres my theory with the Temple of Time. So I believe in the Zelda split time line theory. I think TP's Zelda is the child Zelda from Oot. Not the Zelda in Oot that sent Link back. I think after Link warned Zelda a warn ensued between the Gerudo and the Hylians. Hylians won destroyed the Gerudo fortress. Then they destroyed the Temple of Time moving it into the forest to hide it.
were you trying to like, challenge yourself or something? I know I haven't played this game in a while but I'm pretty sure you'd usually have more than 3 hearts by that time.
@Lorahle its basically called the three heart challenge, it pretty much calls for a good bit more skill and care than would be required for someone who's got 5, or 7, or 12 or even 20 hearts to get knocked around on.
I love how in twilight princess the temple of time got so much bigger and hyrule looks completely different then it did in oot, but then again, it would be kinda boring if it was the same.
They should..... improve the graphics on ocarina of time, and relaunch it. And without using motion sense, it would seel like butter. or milk, well something you shop everyday or so.
One could go with that he traveled when the Link from OoT was locked in the scared chamber for 7 years, therefore, it's absence from the Pedestal of Time...
But then again, why not bust out the moves to defeat Ganondorf in that time, as he takes over Hyrule?
Just the fact that they had the EXACT music, no different whatsoever, makes me so happy. I played that game a lot when I was little. I still do. Andd its kinad funny since the stairs you go up (That that little annoying moment breaker chicken pointed out)to that window, was the same one Navi flew out of. But..wouldnt it be interesting, if you put the sword in the pedestal and you got all young. .-.
Oh wow, I got goosebumps when you entered and everything looked and sounded (relatively) the same. All this time I toughed they changed the design of the Temple of Time.
Though it would've kept even more true to its original design if they were to teleport you to the dungeon within the Temple of Time. A door in the back would suggest the place is bigger then it was.
A additional part located elsewhere (perhaps in the scared realm) would've been more logical, considering the original building.
on the wii, everything's flipped. When playing the wii, most people hold it in their right hand. Controlling link, who's left handed, would be difficult. Since they didn't ahve time to edit Link's sprite, they flipped the whole game : )
That's probably because there are 2 versions of this game, so where as in this one everything is on the right for the Nintendo Wii and vice versa for the Gamecube where everything is on the left.

I'll never forget the time I first played Twilight Princess and reached this point, as soon as Link stepped through the door and I heard that trademark Temple of Time music not only did so many memories of playing OoT come rushing back to me, the goosebumps on my arm took forever to go away

that would be so bad ass if the three gem stones, earth fire and water from ocarina of time were in there in front of the 2 knights before he gets to the sword slot thing! the temple music brings back memories :) i love zelda

@zmatthew91 Actually, I believe it's not the same temple of time as the one in Ocarina. I believe that Hyrule 'moved' north of the Ocarina map. So, Faron Woods is connected to the Lost Woods and what-not. Dunno why they'd move Hyrule, but that's a more reasonable explanation for why the landmarks are rather different than the Ocarina of Time landmarks. But, this is all true IF you believe in the Zelda time-line theories.

Heres my theory with the Temple of Time. So I believe in the Zelda split time line theory. I think TP's Zelda is the child Zelda from Oot. Not the Zelda in Oot that sent Link back. I think after Link warned Zelda a warn ensued between the Gerudo and the Hylians. Hylians won destroyed the Gerudo fortress. Then they destroyed the Temple of Time moving it into the forest to hide it.

@Lorahle its basically called the three heart challenge, it pretty much calls for a good bit more skill and care than would be required for someone who's got 5, or 7, or 12 or even 20 hearts to get knocked around on.

Good question.
One could go with that he traveled when the Link from OoT was locked in the scared chamber for 7 years, therefore, it's absence from the Pedestal of Time...
But then again, why not bust out the moves to defeat Ganondorf in that time, as he takes over Hyrule?
So, who knows, really.

Just the fact that they had the EXACT music, no different whatsoever, makes me so happy. I played that game a lot when I was little. I still do. Andd its kinad funny since the stairs you go up (That that little annoying moment breaker chicken pointed out)to that window, was the same one Navi flew out of. But..wouldnt it be interesting, if you put the sword in the pedestal and you got all young. .-.

Oh wow, I got goosebumps when you entered and everything looked and sounded (relatively) the same. All this time I toughed they changed the design of the Temple of Time.
Though it would've kept even more true to its original design if they were to teleport you to the dungeon within the Temple of Time. A door in the back would suggest the place is bigger then it was.
A additional part located elsewhere (perhaps in the scared realm) would've been more logical, considering the original building.

on the wii, everything's flipped. When playing the wii, most people hold it in their right hand. Controlling link, who's left handed, would be difficult. Since they didn't ahve time to edit Link's sprite, they flipped the whole game : )

That's probably because there are 2 versions of this game, so where as in this one everything is on the right for the Nintendo Wii and vice versa for the Gamecube where everything is on the left.

@LokoD110 you're not actually required to pick up the Heart containers after you beat each boss, so yeah you can go through the whole game with only 3 hearts.
