Amen, brotha - Most popular mediums of entertainment have fallen prey to the hideous disease that is the lust for popularity. YouTube has already began its twisting descent into the shitter, but it's not too late to save this medium. Please, folks, if you're desperate for popularity (ie. a crisp slice of meaning in the dry, moldy sandwich that is your life), have some integrity and actually try creating something - I'm sure you'll find the experience a good deal more rewarding if you do.

I surf the site looking for meaningful discussions,insights into others thinking,philosophical and artistic debates and constructive ways to foster relationships. Arse shaking and prize winning hater-bile doesnt quite make my top 10 list.
I think that mayhap they need to add a few more sections of the lists as well as add a few comment options so the material that is rated a specific way can be filtered to those new lists and people who want tripe can continue with the most popular ones. :D

I agree. There are WAY too many vapid, useless videos just eating up webspace here. Whether it's copyrighted material being posted by someone simply because they CAN ... or original material that's just devoid of any thought of REAL content. Every time I make the mistake of clicking on these things, I want to sue that user for my lost brain cells.
