i dont know why they dont use them al the time, but i know that an advantage to using a chord is sound quality. billy uses wireless all the time. why dont you ask them...

different countries have different laws on what frequencies, can be used and where to use wireless ALL the time would hundreds of thousands of pounds/dollars in licensing. Also i asked billy about that at his clinic last October in Glasgow. He never uses wireless, as it deteriorates your signal and makes your tone slightly duller, and in this video they aren't using wireless, and look at any video of billy playing, he never uses wireless =S
