No. The city of Rome fell to Oadacer in the late 5th Century AD, but the Roman Empire lasted another THOUSAND years, with its capital in Constantinople. It still referred to itself as the Roman Empire, and was known as such to foreigners as well. The term "Byzantine Empire" was coined in modern times as a disparaging epithet, and was unknown in the Middle Ages.

This video is bullshit. No "Romans" were present at the battle of Yarmouk. The defeated were Byzantine. Their forces would not have looked at all like the classic roman legionaire depicted. In fact, the Byzantine army of the period has almost nothing in common with "Roman" armies.
