thats how i figured it out. i was just juggling the under arm and decided to mix it with the one where one ball goes over the rest of them and i got mills mess. so yeh
you argue that if one juggles a 3 ball cascade with one ball going under the arm all the time the pattern will eventually currupt into a mills mess. That is not certain.
Mills mess is however one ball going under the arm in a reverse cascade. If you do what you do, but in a reverse cascade, it will be a mills mess, no matter what.
Breaking a trick down to its fundamentals is a good way to learn because you really understand what each throw is doing. I am not saying that what you say is wrong, but it seems to me that it is a better realization to come to after you have learned the trick step by step.
I'm just a little confused; I start by throwing under my left arm, then my left arm throws to the left, then my right arm throws to the left. I get stuck here...
I'd scratch this video and try again. This is a pretty terrible instructional.

Yeah, I guess you're right about the reverse cascade. I was pretty vague in this video.

Mills mess has been a hard one for me to learn, this helps, I'm sure I'll get it eventually!
Also, I think you talked about it in a diffrent vid, but are those balls made specifically for juggling?
