OK...ZTA might have "stole" ur steps but it looks like AKAs & Deltas "stole" their HAIR style(long & straight)...so all have imitated each others culture. I new this day would come...a "Traditionally White" Greek Letter organization would show up (after being taught by a NPHC member) and show out...Elvis did it why not ZTA...lol!!!
This was very good. As for the above comment about ZTA stealing steps from the NPHC sorortities, how many thing have each of us in the NPHC "stolen" things from other organizations. As a matter of fact the car scene at 1:50 was stolen from Beyonce at the MTV Awards when she performed Ring The Alarm. Everyone went hard but the underdogs took the crown.

Sorors had a much more precise and complicated routine than AKAs. I absolutely loved this routine! It actually ranks with ZTA! ZTA was off the chain! AKAs were so basic and boring! Sorors were FaB!!! But... They were sore losers when they lost. Still a great job here!!!

i remember back in the day when nobody could touch the deltas when they stepped. i've seen many step shows from different chapters and i cringe for them. watch old step shows and from start to finish the deltas stepped their asses off, always.
This one bored me completely. What was old girl doing from 0:30-0:54. Weak steppin. WEAK!!! The Zeta Tau Alpha did way better then this. Even though ZTA stole a lot of steps from the other sororities - they still did a better job then this. Hate on Haters.
Zeta's won on their talent, it seems if the other soroities want to focus on more that just long hair swinging they may have had a better chance since when did long bought hair become part of the original African American culture?

It is still going on as evidenced in South Africa and Iran. Please read some African and Native American history and pay attention to what is happening in the world.. You may have a different perspective.
@JosKiddin The Divine Nine is grounded in many African traditions. It is part of African Diaspora in which African Americans belong. It's a tradition we remember from our ancestors. Many of the steps, chants and hand gestures have symbolic meaning from Africa and Black Sorority/Fraternity history. These traditions have nothing to do with European traditions; therefore, it is stealing. Respect it!!!

@drichbanks You missed the point. Stepping is African. African Americans honor our ancestry by stepping. You would have to be familiar with the tradition of African American sororities to understand the nuances of each tradition, some of which have specific meaning to that particular sorority or fraternity.
@BPrideful Deltas stole some of their moves from Beyonce who stole them from Janet who stole them from someone.... This cycle goes on and on. There isn't one original move in the world, with the exception of whoever started stepping! Doesn't matter where the moves came from, as long as they were done well!
I think the Deltas did a great job, but so did ZTA.

I am a Delta! I cannot believe what I'm seeing. My sorors missed the mark big time. There is a Time and place for all things. This was the time for them to bring a sharp, well choreographed, tight transitions and a routine with mind blowing formations. Sorry sorors, ya'll got served! Damn, I had often wondered what had happened to Bonnie, Ruth, and June the Pointer Sisters. I dated all of them for one hot minute and I mean hot minute back in the 80s.
I love it!! Thought it was a very cute theme to step on! Very creative! The white soror won because for one: who thought white chicks could step like THAT!!! two: They were just plain good! and three: who thought white chicks could step LIKE THAT!!!!! lmao
They were ok, but too many stops and weak moves just to show off... honestly they look like white girls painted black and the Zeta Tau Alpha made them look worse! Zeta was tight, clean look (not sloppy like these chics), and fresher moves.
I am not Greek and I believe these ladies should have won..I can see where they are more passionate . The ZTA thought maybe this was a cheerleading competition.
I'm black and I think the white girls won fair and square. These girls lost because they were trying harder to look cute and swing their extensions instead of dance.

Wow...this was...ummm....ok....I mean it was ok, but it wasn't the best I've seen from DST. They definitely didn't show good sportsmanship when they walked off stage when Zeta Tau Alpha won. I'm not sure what chapter this is, but wow....Maybe another chapter should've done this competition.

I'm an old school viewer. . Arkansas' ZTA women brought the fevah for ya! I was surprised to see no one, Deltas or AKAs honored sistah Beyonce by using her steps...i.e. bootyroll.. Guess we're so confused in the 21st Century about who we are and where we come from we too cute to do us. To paraphrase Smokey said..."everybody's from Africa..nobody's bloodline is pure in the U.S....one drop makes you black!" Great show everyone!

i also agree with the comment about taking other orgs steps, there is so much you can do with a show and within a step, i really dont see why you have to completely jack someone's steps. now i understand there are traditional steps that u gotta incorporate into ya routine per org and there are universal steps that are fundamentals of stepping but change that up a bit. make it interesting. i really am tired of seeing the same thing!
This show was ok. not blown away by it at all. I actually got bored watching it. and come on now..its 2010, why r we still jerking lol but on a more serious note, the AKA's should have been 1st place because their show was the best. Way better than those white girls...not saying that ZTA wasn't good. it was better than the Deltas but it damn sure wasn't better than the AKAs.

Seen it all before this is the same thing DST was doing in 80's when I was a kid, The Steps of the NPHC has become nothing of originality or design, ZTA watched,viewed and studied That's how u take out opponent precise and in sync all the way they stepped and you could hear them, IT IS A STEP SHOW YOU NEED TO BE HEARD ALL OVA' THE ARENA BY EVERYONE. i agree with you. i love the Deltas, but many of these sororities are starting to do the same things, recycling other peoples stuff. to me if your gonna use someone else's routine as your "inspiration",please step it up a knotch. i have to give it to University of Arkansas. They really did do a good job. But now that i've seen this and others, i pretty much see why Arkansas was favored so much.

I think the Deltas did a great job, but so did ZTA.

They totally got the car thing from Beyonce's "Ring the Alarm" performance. U can look it up. it's on here. Search "beyonce mtv awards ring the alarm. She does this. Not exactly this but the leaning back part is it, except they did their arms different.

I am a Delta! I cannot believe what I'm seeing. My sorors missed the mark big time. There is a Time and place for all things. This was the time for them to bring a sharp, well choreographed, tight transitions and a routine with mind blowing formations. Sorry sorors, ya'll got served! If you want the money and kudos ya'll got to bring it. Guess you know there are some new players in town. They earned their win and so did the AKAs!

They were ok, but too many stops and weak moves just to show off... honestly they look like white girls painted black and the Zeta Tau Alpha made them look worse! Zeta was tight, clean look (not sloppy like these chics), and fresher moves.

Wow...this was...ummm....ok....I mean it was ok, but it wasn't the best I've seen from DST. They definitely didn't show good sportsmanship when they walked off stage when Zeta Tau Alpha won. I'm not sure what chapter this is, but wow....Maybe another chapter should've done this competition.

Hey I'm Black, if they were better they were better, how do you expect equality if you keep reverse discriminating. I'm tired of calling stuff exclusively white or exclusively black. I'm an old school viewer. . Arkansas' ZTA women brought the fevah for ya! I was surprised to see no one, Deltas or AKAs honored sistah Beyonce by using her steps...i.e. bootyroll.. Guess we're so confused in the 21st Century about who we are and where we come from we too cute to do us. To paraphrase Smokey said..."everybody's from Africa..nobody's bloodline is pure in the U.S....one drop makes you black!" Great show everyone!

i also agree with the comment about taking other orgs steps, there is so much you can do with a show and within a step, i really dont see why you have to completely jack someone's steps. now i understand there are traditional steps that u gotta incorporate into ya routine per org and there are universal steps that are fundamentals of stepping but change that up a bit. make it interesting. i really am tired of seeing the same thing!

This show was ok. not blown away by it at all. I actually got bored watching it. and come on now..its 2010, why r we still jerking lol but on a more serious note, the AKA's should have been 1st place because their show was the best. Way better than those white girls...not saying that ZTA wasn't good. it was better than the Deltas but it damn sure wasn't better than the AKAs.

Seen it all before this is the same thing DST was doing in 80's when I was a kid, The Steps of the NPHC has become nothing of originality or design, ZTA watched,viewed and studied That's how u take out opponent precise and in sync all the way they stepped and you could hear them, IT IS A STEP SHOW YOU NEED TO BE HEARD ALL OVA' THE ARENA BY EVERYONE. i agree with you. i love the Deltas, but many of these sororities are starting to do the same things, recycling other peoples stuff. to me if your gonna use someone else's routine as your "inspiration",please step it up a knotch. i have to give it to University of Arkansas. They really did do a good job. But now that i've seen this and others, i pretty much see why Arkansas was favored so much.
