On March 15 2007, the federal canadian parliament will again vote for the killing of more than 300,000 seals, just for the fur. The European Union and mostly Belgium will soon put a ban on the import of fur from seals, but also from cats and dogs.Please join the action of "protest boxes" from IFAW with Seashepherd before that date.The seal hunting must STOP: it is very cruel and unnecessary.

If IFAW really wants to make a difference they should just go ahead and take up arms.
An rpg to the hull of one of the poachers vessels will stop them from clubing seals for a while.

1st, it is wrong on moral grounds. The ad hominen posted here is fallacious, used in lieu of evidence, facts or reason.
2nd, it is unspeakably cruel.
3rd, it is unsustainable. Twice the legal limit may have been killed in each of 3 recent years.
4th, after considering subsidies and boycotts, it is not economically viable.
5th, it hurts the Atlantic cod fisheries. Harp seals feed on squid, a predator of juvenile Atlantic cod.
Boycott Canadian seafood and raise your voices!
