Couldn't you raise the cacti up one block of sand? That way the goods don't bump into cacti and break.

put a glass wall around your bridge thing so those skeletons cant shoot you and remove the stairs on the bridge trap and add ladders so that those things cant climb up and get you

why dont you ad another stream way down at the lower ditch, that flows all the items that fall in that stream to you.. then u will only need 1 door, and less time to collect.. try it ;)

your cactus destroy most of the goods... you should make a better trap try making one that uses lava.. it is much more effective and dont loose goodies at all.. watch a guide...

I'd alter the collection a bit, don't make water run into it from the cacti level, instead put 1 source at one and end go down each, it will flow all the way to the end because of the fall each step, and youll only have to stand in one place.

Also as others said raise the cactus so less items are destroyed.

the only necessary row of cacti is the one closest to the collection point, the rest are a bit too much

1 recomendation. U should raise the cacti 1 square so it will still kill the mobs but not the loot. The reason u wernt getting that much loot was because it hit the cactus and was destroyed. Loved the vid keep em up

Very nice and original. Only issue i see is actually getting the loot. Since the water is flowing on the same level as the cactus it can actually kill your loot before it reaches the bottom.

I found my first cacti in the game yesterday. and Ive decided Im going to farm them until I get enough and Ill make a smaller version of yours all the way around my very small simple castle.

And hopefully I will plumb the collection system into my basement! so at night I can wander about on my roof to lure the mobs in and then at day break just collect my goodies in the basement!

One of the best catus trap video i've seen. Step by step instructions, and demostration (effectiveness) test. Good stuff! I would only recomend making the place you collect drops a tad larger so you dont have to walk on water, which slow you down (just like @ 4:52 ).
