Basilio is an underrated fighter, from an historical perspective. For my money, he's one of the all-time greats. Welterweight and middleweight champ who fought all the best fighters at a time when both of those divisions were absolutely loaded. He was a terrific fighter.

Fullmer ran from the smaller, weaker man. Most of the time he simply won by crowding and headbutting.

Knowing. These two were hometown products; Fullmer never lost a fight in Utah. Basilio rarely lost in NY state.
