I do like very much the camera angle of this video and it is very clear to see exactly what moves are being played as well as the chess clock times for both sides :).
@Ronbo710 Yes Natalia Zhukova is a great fighter! I played her many times, the last time was last week in Olginka, I won but it was very difficult, my black king went all the way to a1! I posted the game on my chessqueen dotcom blog on the post of April 27, 2011.
wow, I was surprised that Marie didn't resign, and then she seemed like a poor sport at the end, too. I'd hate to think she fits the rude Frenchperson stereotype
This video reflects that the Najdorf is a razor-sharp opening and can put one off playing it
...but I'll take my chances ;-)
I usually play 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 a6 6. Bg5 e6 7. f4 Qc7 as Black...it's funny 'cause everyone plays this theory so fast and after 7...Qc7 they're like: Ohh what the hell is that...
@dmed312 Sure I lose lots of games. Actually when I lose a game, it's always a good lesson and it helps improve my game. On my YouTube channel, I posted my losses against T. Kosintseva and against A. Stefanova.
@ChessQueen Your majesty, I am honored that you responded to my question personally. I would just like to say that I love your sharp tactical style of play. You are my blitz chess idol.
Such a poor choice of moves by your opponent in the end, but I guess she was in a tough position with the queenside pawns advancing. Sebag didn't even shake hands!
P.S. Why are you not playing in Cap D'Adge, you would have had wonderful opportunity to play against top men and I think you could have made it through the round robin groups!
I dont know.I would have take the Knight on d5 instead taking the one on d4 i would and maybe after 13.... exd5+ 14 Kd8 Be4 I would have tried to move my king to b7 or something. Anyways itwas a good game.
After 18. Qd3 I thought Black might have chances with 18. ... Bh6 19. g3 Ba6 followed shortly by Nd7-e5-c4 due to the pin on the f-pawn. What would White have in reply to this?
Excellent game! I just LOVED all the 'tactical Kung-Fu' in the opening phase. After the queen was won the game was over in my opinion. Alexandra showed no mercy to her opponent. Favourited...
i think sebag blundered the game...coz after pawn takes knight, pawn takes pawn check, king f2;black will eventually be safe & up a piece!

Great to watch, congrats. So nice to see a chess video in focus and where you can see everything clearly, including the clocks.

I would like to see you play GM Natalia Zhukova from Ukraine. No offense but she is my favorite female player :).

Wow! The knight-sac right at the very start! It was a story taken straight out of a Hitchcock movie! :)
Thanks so much for posting this, Chess Queen!

@noxtradamentus 12... exd5 has long been considered dubious in view of 13. Nc6 (although 13... dxe4 is worth a look)

Good game. A very aggressive line chosen by white. What is it called?

I was thinking about Ba6 after a5 so b5 becomes very hard to play

Queen move at the end was nice. I was like how you going to keep those rooks off your pawn? Oh, that's how.

Took me a few more seconds to realize both your strategies towards your last moves.
