There are some Viking groups in Germany as well.

There is a re-enactment group called Hammaborg wich teach you how to fight and so on.

They are more into medieval thing I guess but you can ask them if they know any German Viking groups

About festivals, Wollin is not that "far" from Germany (depending on wich side you are :) )

An other big festival is Moesgård festival, at Århus in Denmark.
