Yes, we have the right to vote. But the Supreme Court ruled in 2010 that corporations are people and that money is free speech. America has not been capitalist since the 1930's.... It turned into a corporate state and slowly eroded peoples rights ever since. @jwhyte67 Hi Jen. I thought I'd clarify. OWS doesn't claim that it has support of 99% of the people. They're saying they're part of the 99% of American citizens that have become disenfranchised. Yes, we have the right to vote. But the Supreme Court ruled in 2010 that corporations are people and that money is free speech. This means that corporations can now give unlimited amounts to candidates. The book Unequal Protection by Thom Hartmann provides a history of the ruling and its repercussions.

Take a look at the Congressional Progressive Party and sadly but true Ron Paul, they seems to be honest brokers and (I don't care for Paul's policies) we need more ppl like them and Elizabeth Warren, who don't take money from special interest!

And yeah, given that the "Indefinite Detention Bill" (Google it people) has passed the Senate with bipartisan cooperation, I don't know why anyone would act like the D's are any better than the R's. (Obama has already sanctioned extrajudicial KILLING of citizens, so there's no reason to assume he's genuinely against detention.)
