Firstly, as someone else has already said, the name "When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong" is from a Chapelle Show sketch from 2006. Plus, TWY probably don't even know Emmure exist. Emmure (more like Manure) play hardcore, TWY play pop punk, a COMPLETELY different genre, so why would they listen or acknowledge Emmure's existence in the first place? Also - listen to FYS' Enemy Of The World. Sounds NOTHING like TWY.

While Four Year Strong always have been and still are easycore, The Wonder Years kind of went off in a more alternative direction. They got rid of the breakdowns and synthesizers (2 of the most common factors of easycore) and well...just judge for yourself. Listen to this, Fruit Punched or Lets Moshercise, then listen to Local Man Ruins or I Was Scared And I'm Sorry. There's quite a genre leap.

I've seen both bands live, Emmure at warped and TWY w/ Streetlight Manifesto, and The Wonder Years has an energy about them that's almost inspiring that Emmure just doesn't have. And that to me is what having a strong core, or being "hardcore" should be about: the passion and feeling that you convey through music
