Im saving for a new jackson, this time a V model with full 2 octaves, and fixed bridge with duncan blackouts - i got the duncan sh4 and sh2 with floyd in a jackson js series, but now im looking for something different, my tone here is too soft (mohogany and maple top, yeah...), and ur jackson sounds great!
Great job! 5 starts from me! The main riff is different from how Dave plays it though. It's mostly chromatic stuff at the 5th position but you seemed to stay in natural minor scale? It took me a long time to figure out how it's played cause it's kinda hard to hear on the CD.
I noticed Dave plays the descending portion of the main riff differently, because I think as you said, he stays in the one position, whereas I shift down to play the same notes on the lower string. My hand just moves easier that way, but I think I end up playing the same scale that he does, just in a different position.

I notice we have a similar finger style - index and pinky fingers for power chords & rhythm, and index, middle & ring for solos.
