Burgerking had great toys for this. I'll never forget dragging my mom there just to get the toy. I think I got the one that was a boat and clamped on your wrist. Ah this show was epic. Like Terrible Thunder Lizards, but several years ahead!

During summer vacation in the early 90's this show came on after teenage mutant ninja turtles and i thought it was awesome. it wasn't on very long and none of my other friends ever knew what the hell i was talking about when i asked if they saw it. at least i know barnyard commandos wasn't a dream. i remember seeing the toys everywhere but the show never got much a chance on tv! son of a bitch! good times

i remember seeing a commercial about this a long long time ago when i was a kid (we probably still have it on an old VHS tape of live TV).

The Farm Has Eyes....this is just like The Hills Have Eyes because the animals are exposed to harsh chemicals and they become deformed...no wonder this show was taken off the air so early! It was another stereotypical reason to fear the Backwoods South of the USA! Yikes!

What makes this cartoon so obscure is the very fact that it was a 5 part mini-series that never had a full tv series like TMNT had back then. This was made in 1990 yes?

Barnyard commandos was one of those kookie charming cartoons of the early 90's I bought the whole set of their figures on Ebay. Considered unfortunatly a failure it is an example of how even the worst cartoons of yesteryear are better than those of today. sorry kids we guys around here are oldschool!!!

one thing that is unique about this show is it's animation style... you DONT see that anymore.. everything is anime infused... and honestly japanese anime tend to sometimes be generic.

You're right about Japanese anime...most animes are not as good as Pokemon,digimon,Hamtaro or Sailor Moon. And the US animation is even WORSE! Kids should'nt have to watch cheaply-made garbage like Kids Next Door,Camp Lazlo,Squirrel Boy or Billy and Mandy. They should watch REAL cartoons;the cartoons that were made in the 60s,70s and 80s. BTW-I believe Barnyard Commandos is from the late 80s.

I guess you're right. There were a lot of great cartoons that I appreciated as a kid during the 90's. But it's all about appeal, the appeal is different now... I can speak for myself as a kid who didn't necessarily enjoy many enjoy many of the cartoons from the previous gernerations with the exception of the jetsons which was hilarious.

Yeah this is Murakami Wolf Swenson animation.I enjoyed every last on of their cartoons they ever made.Their animation can be easily identified and spotted by watching TMNT,Toxic Crusaders,James Bond Jr.,the New Adventures of Speed Racer,etc.

i found the videos like at sam's club or pic n save otherwise known as big lots. i have two that i know of I think. Anyways they rock and i wish the show lasted longer...I had most of the toys
