No, I have to disagree. Miss Mexico should've won. She has a prettier face than Venezuela, and she's taller and more statuesque at 6 feet tall. They just gave the title to Venezuela because she stood out with her lighter eyes, but Mexico has the prettiest face. Also the American judges were angry that the Mexicans booed Miss USA, who fell on her ass last year (and this year), so they didn't want to give Miss Mexico the title that she earned. She doesn't even look Filipino. Filipinos normally have flat, wide noses. She's okay, but she's not as beautiful as many of you have been claiming. She doesn't really stand out from the other contestants.

We are a product of Asian and Western blood that's why we can be mistakenly identified as Chinese, Indian, Thai, and other South East Asians or Latin American. There is not a single appearance that will epitomize the Filipinos in general. You just want to categorize people based on your stereotypes and narrow mind.

No, I have to disagree. Miss Mexico should've won. She has a prettier face than Venezuela, and she's taller and more statuesque at 6 feet tall. They just gave the title to Venezuela because she stood out with her lighter eyes, but Mexico has the prettiest face. Also the American judges were angry that the Mexicans booed Miss USA, who fell on her ass last year (and this year), so they didn't want to give Miss Mexico the title that she earned. Mexico really has the prettiest face.

im definitely sure that if she made it to the top 15 there would be absolutely no negative comments from pinoys.
that's the reason why filipino delegates don't succeed internationally (except boxing). instead of giving support,they pull each other down. if our delegaes get more support from their people, it gives them more confidence and inspiration to be better.

yes it's true... jennifer placed 17th in the preliminaries (too bad she almost would have made it!) the top 15th score was miss hungary 8.771, 16th india 8.760, 17th philippines 8.754!!! just a few .017 points would have made the difference.

STUPID! Nobody knows the real standing of each candidate except the organizer and they never divulge it in public! Unlike before that all scores are seen on the screen but they have stopped doing that already so as not to disgrace those who got low scores. How can Ms. Philippines ranked 17 when she was among the lousy performer, oh come on, wake up she is not a miss universe material and hopeless! the way I see it, she ranked 50-60.

dannae2007,sa south america,yang beauty contest ay talagang siryoso sila,meron silang schools para mag-aral ng pagiging peke,tulad ng sagot ni venezuela,narinig ko na yang sagot na yan sa pageant a few years back. Okey lang si Stella..she's strict at patatalsikin niya pag nalaman niyang puta pala ang contestant. ang masama ay yung mga designers na kung ano ano ang pinasusuot sa contestants. Yung costume ni jennifer ay napaka pangit.

OO nga alam mo talaga sana seryosohin din nila ung pageant dito sa pinas kasi habang tumatagal nawawala na ang pagiging competitive ng mga pilipino sa mga pageant lalo na sa miss universe. Sana din matauhan na ung mga nasa likod ng BPCI kasi sayang ang effort nila every year na lang umaasa tayo na makakapasok ang Miss Phils. sa semi's pero ano nangyayari umuuwi tayong empty handed!Goshhhhh!

Now, think about this, ang Colombia, inspite of their rigid training sa mga pageant...ay nanalo sa Miss Universe 50 years ago at hindi na nasundan..what is funny is we sent out candidate (2years ago) to colombia to train...ano na yan? Why not send our candidate to Texas...kasi meron ring image maker dito sa Texas...at laging nananalo sa Miss USA ang Texas. At laging pumupuwesto ang USA, Miss U.

ridgefidge..wow ang dami mong info...so to sum it up nag karoon ng internal struggle sa administraion ng BPCI...at ang naapektuhan ay ang mga candidates...sino ba yung gumawa ng national costume ni Jennifer...pinakapangit na costume na nakita ko sa tanang buhay ko...parang sinabutahe...huwag mong alalahanin kung tuta man ang makausap mo rito..sinasabi mo lang ang nararapat mong sabihin...mukhang tumatanda na ang mga utak ng namamahala sa BPCI...hindi na sila progressive!

as ive told you si ALFREDO BARRAZA, the same designer who did Taliana's Nat'l costume and Evening gown! since 1997 sya na ang kinausap ni SMA to provide the gowns and Nat'l costumes kasi binoycot ng lahat ng Locl designers si Stella and Pitoy dahil sa bulok na pamamalakd nila! kasi nga stella wont allow our delegates to wear new and beautiful designs, they choose old collections from our local designers or mga luma at outdated na gaw ni Pitou or from Bb Pilipinas Boutique!

ridgefidge...ang mabuti para mas makatutuhanan ang magyayari ay kung merong mayamang pinoy na makikisosyo sa kanila, pagkatapos bumili siya ng majority shares ng kompanya, then i hostile takeover niya ang BPCI....legal pa yan. Wala ng masasabi ang mga araneta kapag majority share na yung sumosyo sa BPCI.

dannae2007,yang Bb Pilipinas Charities ay isang negosyo, kaya wag mong pagdudahan na Stella sellout sa ibang bansa. Araneta ang may-ari niyan. Kaya lang mayroong "charities" na nakadugtong ay para konti lang ang tax (o libre)na babayaran nila. Dapat lang i reorganize nila ang involvement ng mga nakikisali sa kanila.
