ooo I'm applying for the Paras next week! pretty good shot... with a shotgun... lol but I'll have a crack at snipering and see if I get in... obviously it's about ore than just putting one down on the target etc etc.... green on!
@AtomicCheese92 Yeah did my BARB test last week... attitude on the Sergeant stank though... (all because i knew better than him about one little thing he got defensive... ugh) anyway yeah... suppose being a sniper would sort of require basic infantry skills + extra... so the first bit was the extra... im guessing you have to do minimum of 3 years in the army before you canapply? or do you just get selected because you're good?
@AtomicCheese92 ahh right, thought so, well I'm saying i've applied etc they had to send off a B203 (special enlistment with a conviction) ... so yeah still may not even get in now :/ ... i'll be back in 5 years though when its spent!! xD
When you pass training and join batallion every year you go on the ranges as part of a matts (military skills ) package that is minimum requirement yearly, most platoons and companys will do more range packages if you get marksman on your range and are phyiscally very fit then you will be selected for sniper platoon
Concentrate on getting in the regiment first!! Many fail and it needs focus and drive! When you are established as a good Tom in the battalion then show your interest in becoming a sniper and tell your platoon commander! Unfortunately in the regiment you don't always get what you want but keep trying and if you are a good shot then who knows!!
@TheARMAProductions theres gonna be alot more cuts ,the USA/UK IS the west,we need referendums and stand ups but everyone whines and does fuck all so get used to it,Civil war is what we need.
