Ulver has some seriously great atmospheric/ambient/occult/freestyle music, although their 'nattens madrigal' was a horrendous flop of an attempt to match Transylvanian Hunger. The Kronet album by Dodheimsgard was a phenom album that had a cross between trans/hunger and early Gorgoroth sound. Years of Century media killed that band! Opeth I thought was more gothic than any else, but good. Solefald to me is just plain boring and lacking of spirit.

I love Solefald. Especially the first album,I have fond memories of that, and then 'Red for fire' was a nice refreshing sound.
