To be fair - the Skulls noted the small unit of fighters you are focusing on at 0:12 but were ordered to hold the far corner which we did for 90% of the fight. A contingency unit was swept out to push them back. As well, the chucks are auxilery and kept till the end only in non-ressurection battles. We supressed the midrealm on that corner deep on their side of the field for the majority of the fight. Well fought by all. Vivat ~ Hassan Ibn Abd Al-Malik.
Very neat - I wish the uniforms and armor had uniformity between "nations" and such, or factions, etc. I realize that is financially unfeasable, perhaps some day.
To be fair, that didn't happen in real life. Only in the last 300-400 years have uniforms become common. In the middle ages, people would basically wear what they could afford. In the case of the nobility, they would paint their family emblems and crests on themselves.
In the Battle of Bryn Glas, (Wales against England), I think there was actually a fair amount of "friendly fire" both by archers and on the ground.
But in international conflicts, the choice of weapons by soldiers and the language could make things a lot easier. Not to mention that even in tribal societies, they tended to use lines and formations. So if you're in one block and there's a block of people pointing spears at you, you try and kill them. Hard to go wrong there.
@nashertheatheist ha good point and thank you for taking the time to explain this. I studied history as one of my majors ten years back - mostly medieval, but strangely, not one professor pointed this out. Blows my mind really. Thank you.

@nashertheatheist How did each side identify each other in the event of a mass grouping of both factions?
