  • @Hortgeek guess that's the only logical answer, or it might just be a failure to click the like button, although yours makes more sense :D

  • It's only 3,524,753,491,200,000 miles away. If we listen closely we may have heard something intelligent said 600 years ago. That's helluva bad lag :(

  • ทำเป็นดีใจไป เกิดแม่ง ส่งยานอวกาศมา ทำลายมนุษย์ เอาทรัพยากร แล้วจะร้อง

  • :D what boggles my mind: who is this one person disliking the wonderful progress made by these brilliant and hard working people?

  • @ToadsMGodes Are you serious?

  • @ToadsMGodes Are you serious?

  • @zabacinjsh Yes, I am. I don't why people are so obsessed with the number of dislikes? Is the world going to end because some goofs disliked this video?

  • @ToadsMGodes let me explain what i meant by that - people are putting morons on pedestals, but when intelligent people do something huge, there's always someone that does this thing, it feels like that someone's against progress and education, even if that person doesn't mean that.

  • @zabacinjsh I know what you meant, friend. No need to explain the obvious.

Almost every video I go to on youtube people are talking about dislikes, I would rather ignore the morons and not give them any attention. ;)

  • 600 light years is almost like 73 human years !!!

  • @MrIcenberg

    are you serious ??

  • @MrIcenberg 1 light year is 9 460 730 472 580 km's. Research some, before commenting

  • @doktormozg well i dint use google for it !! :|

  • @MrIcenberg How far is 73 years?

  • Also, does "habitable zone" pertain purely to habitability by humans, or full stop? Because I thought that the Kepler mission was discovering planets (2326 and counting) that had the potential to sustain life?

  • Comment removed

  • @Barnicalsify the habitable zone is defined as the region around a star where an Earth-like planet can maintain liquid water on its surface. And where there is liquid water there is, as far as we understand, a high probability for life as we know it to arise spontaneously. But with that said, different kinds of life may be possible under other conditions. Thus "the habitable zone" is quite chauvinistic indeed, but logically it is the first place to look.

  • @ThePrimusGlory @Barnicalsify the habitable zone also includes the galactic habitable zone (so the criteria astrobiologists refer to is both location within a star system and location in the galaxy). but i do agree that it is very chauvinistic and equally possible that other life have non-carbon and non-DNA based structures

  • Did Neil deGrasse Tyson make a guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory?

    YAY, space exploration and stuff.

  • Very awesome. And thank you all you smart people, for making these discoveries possible. :D Exciting stuff.
