Ok about how much is a setup like that and where can I buys the parts. I got a 1972 Bug w/ 1600 motor and dual progressive weber on it. Where do I start?
Best run in the 1/4 was last year in Oct '06 14.205@97.16mph with a Engle W110 cam instead of a stocker, 15psi boost, pinging like crazy on 91 Octane. a '70 should weigh around 1900lbs empty
It ran 14.205@ 97.16 Mph (ran 80mph in the 1/8th)60ft was a dismal 2.369 seconds.(spun em hard)at Edmonton's Fastest Street car Shootout on Oct4,2008. only changes from this video were a swap to an Engle w110 cam, and 15psi of boost. at 1930 lbs car weight it works out to an approx.output of 165-180hp.

Hello,
I'm also busy building a turbo on a stock 1600 AD engine.
So you are driving with 12psi boost on a stock engine without an Intercooler right?
I am curious how your engine is holding out, any troubles with early detonation / pinging?

No, had a wastegate preload spring issue. It was solved later, I would recommend HD springs anyway though.

sounds like a gocart when you rev the engine. I dont mean that in a bad way. Its kind of cool.

a beetle with 120 horse power can run mid to high 13s, if you got 165-180hp you should be running low 12s high 11s

At 1200lbs, Yes. Otherwise, No.
According to your logic a stone-stock 1600dp powered (60hp SAE gross)1900lb Beetle would run 16.60's.

160 hp, i don't think so, probably around 70hp

70 hp? don't make me laugh . . .

IF, I'm reading your question "right", the answer is a AiResearh (Garret) T3, as it came on an 1985 Chrysler LeBaron.
