I was going to shit bricks if they forgot Howard Beale's "MAD AS HELL" speech, but they got it in right at the end. Ned Beatty's boardroom speech from the same movie was also noteworthy.
Why no mention of Alec Baldwins speech from Glengary Glen Ross?
Braveheart at no. 1? What a joke! Network should have dominated the list. Where's JFK or Inglourious Basterds? "However, the reason the Führer's brought me off my Alps in Austria and placed me in French cow country today is because it does occur to me. Because I'm aware what tremendous feats human beings are capable of once they abandon dignity."
The Great Dictator, V for Vendetta, and Scent of a Woman. Braveheart's speech is too short and shifts gears unbelievably fast. Independence Day is essentially a stupid movie.
I can't believe not a single speech from Lord of the rings got an even an honourable mention and why wasn't The King's Speech on the list at all???!!!
@LOZmaster85RB I agree with you. There are so many good choices to choose from, and yet some of the best didn't make it here. Well, since the voters' opinions in previous surveys are often suspect and tend to show a very limited range, I'm not surprised here either. Before the video started, I thought there's no way that Viggo Mortensen's rallying speech to the troops in Return of the King wouldn't make it. But I guess, with these Reelz voters, there was indeed a way...
