Been through there too many times. I only cross on off-peak hours and take the 407ETR all the way to Markham, ON and then southbound back into Toronto near Scarborough Town Centre as the QEW is ALWAYS messed up.

there's no charge getting into the canadian entrance, but the problem begins if you go back to USA (traffic and immigration control) in other words its a USA check point.

Well in my experence in crossing is make sure you have a clean spotless car. I crossed one time when I had my old car and I had tons of junk in my old car so they searched my vehicle.

I'm a proud Canadian but have visited the u.s. on occasion and it was an amazing experience...the people in the U.S. were so incredibly friendly and Awesome...I love America and Americans but get too homesick if i stay away too long. I love visiting the U.S. but would never want to live any-where other than Canada.
