Super performance Karthick...I have seen videos of you and Sanjay Subrahmanyam at the Swathi festival...I plan to attend the festival this January...Are you scheduled to play there?
No words!!! Truth be told....i came across your name just now whilst I was listening to Sir Vikku Vinayakaram....and sir you blew me away with this and the fusion performance at Thanjavur. Excellent.
I do hope your group comes over to perform in Hong Kong some day.
Sir I'm a huge fan of yours...I've listened to countless recordings of yours and have seen you play live many times. I cherish this opportunity to communicate this to you - you are the greatest Ghatam player I've ever heard and one of the best percussionists I've heard. I used to learn Mridangam but unfortunately have had to sacrifice it for medical studies. I am still a huge fan of carnatic music and stay in touch through videos like this. You are truly great sir - keep it up!!
This was an absolutely fantastic concert! Thanks for uploading this, now I can share this experience with friends around the world. Waiting for more videos :)
The CD I bought at the concert is always in my car and I have listened to it a million times.

outstanding....performace....karthik ji...u r simply superb...more videos plz...if u remember..can u post...nada sangeetha gaana rasike..which came few years befor in surya tv...thanks
Karthik-ji is the best -- would anyone argue; can someone show me a better virtuoso on Youtube; just superb.
When you listen to Karthik (this is a technique I'm sharing) allow your bones to feel each beat AND let the tympanic resonance dance around in your brain OR let it dance in your brain and resonate up and down your spine by pitch frequency -- low to high; like an inverted scale! iPod while working, by the end of the day very high. Also, MS SUBBULAKSHMI n Raga Jog by Parween Sultana
ure very welcome, I learned tabla mainly, and when i tried to play ghatam, it was really a challenge, i truly admire ure skill. its a beautiful instrument,

How do they make a Ghatam to have the right pitch?
RandomTask3000 3 years ago
They can modulate the pitch with clay placed on the inside of the ghatam.
usually, a ghatam artist will have ghatams of several different pitches and then use clay for slight further modulation
