if these guys were around in the last gen, they could've done woodstock. i dunno, there's just a certain essence about them that really says "60's" to me.
yooo...this is so sweet. does anyone know if vamp. weekend jus goes to random places and play....i friggin love these guys!!! they are like the best band ever. tell me if they come to RI or something close...i would love to see theM!
THEY ARE SO GOOD. can you imagine how much talent they must have if they're able to sound this amazing with just basic instruments and equipment? brilliant!
It's so funny that no one likes the mirraca player. Saw these guy with about 20 to 30 other people at Slowdown in Omaha about a year ago, maybe longer. Great show...amazing to see them blow up like that. Talked to a couple of them in the pisser. Oh great times
Wow, theyre so good, i really do hope they get massive ere in uk, the singer sounds well like the guy from the strokes, but theyre both from NY arent they?
that is rather cool, doing a perfromance on a rug on an island, just there! and because they aren't hugely famous at the moent, they can afford to do it without making it a publicity stunt or trying to prove something! lovely!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh....you know when you read comments to see what people think and then realise that they dont?....they should fire the guy with the maracas though....massive insight...aaaaaaaaahhhh..youtube should be banned just because of the people that post on it.

Definitely more hype than hash. At first I thought they could try and do a Timberlake boy-band type thing but I don't think they are even good enough for that. Never, ever, mention this group in the same sentence with the Kinks. You could have bad karma for eternity. Reform. Retool. Reboot.
This band is terrible - there's nothing there, folks. They can barely play their instruments, the songs are monotonous, and the albums have no character. The vocals are whiny and the lyrics are devoid of substance.
They have nothing to sing or write or play about, they went to college and now they're famous. They are a product of the industry.
If you like their music search a little more and find the really creative stuff - it's there waiting for those who seek it!
Actually they have many instrumental players, and since they only have a limited drum set, they probably just took one of their instrumentalists to play that sound.
Fire the guy with the maracas. He sucks at singing and at playing the maracas. He's good at hitting those two sticks together, but that task can just be passed-on to a random from the crowd.
Cute stuff. But these guys can write amazing, diverse and wonderfully refershing pop songs. Kids under 30 should really look into the Kinks. Ask you mom and dad about the Kinks. I like how the girsl get up and walk away mid song, now those girls can;t get into the sold out Bowery Ballroom shows. Anyone hows ever been in a band can relate to that attitude. "I only pay attention to famous bands." Crap.
As much as I love this band and their style, and don't think they're up to the Kinks standard of songwriting just yet, let's be honest here! But I'm sure they'll get there.(I'm twenty by the way and I know the Kinks!)
Wow this looks ace. Oh and the backlash will start when they start bailing on planned gigs in England, perhaps Manchester and Glasgow ones, just because they are the support band, not headliners... After everyone has bought a ticket to see them. Oh yeah, they just did that.
Lol, I take it this is in reference to them dropping out as support acts for the Young Knives (despite the dates all being sold out!). You're right, there is a slight backlash happening but I still love 'em!!!
Your right, I'm slagging em here, yet I did sit on my computer at 9am Friday and get 2 tickets to see them at the exact same venue, in effect I paid £20 to see them! They better show this time!
This is how it use to be. People who were in musical bands actually played the music on the songs and sung as well.
Now even I can be famous if I have enough money to hire enought people to write lyrics, play the notes, produce the song and then digitally alter my voice to song lke Brittney Spears!
It's about selling records and making money within the record industry. Good to see a real talented band! Good luck to them!

well considering that their album came out early 2008, and this is June 2007, you probably didn't know of them.

i messed that up because i haven't been in school for a while, i thought it was a regular comma, and i didn't check first to make sure.
