The best season of colored leaves (in recent ten years, Kyoto city) is November 24th-28th.

November 18th-23rd , a part does not turn red , but a part of the momiji changes color and is beautiful .

December, it is too late.

You should avoid to visit on Saturday, Sunday and November 23(national holiday). It is crowded horribly. (although, it is crowded very much even on weekdays...)
