I have a 2002 ford focus and the trunk button's right next to the steering wheel. I mean I guess Ford might've decided to obliterate the trunk button, but idk, I know I have one.
the button was discontinued on the 2008 models and re enstated on the 2009 models of the focus. Mainly to save ford some money i guess but it is stupid that they discontinued that for a year...they are usually in the glove box in a corner but 08 models won't have them
some cars just dont have a button for the trunk inside the vehicle they just make a key to open the trunk... sorry man gotta use a stupid key for the trunk... it sucks majorly i know
in my car, the trunk button is on the bottom of the door. There's like cup holder type thing in the door, and it is in that. After looking on Google, apparently there is no trunk release button inside the car, you have to use the remote, which is fucking stupid in my opinion.

Swear to God I just got a Ford Focus for a rental last week. I needed to put my suitcase in the trunk and neither myself nor the rental car employee could find a trunk release in the car. Looked all over. Used the button on the key. You are not crazy Dude. Funny but not crazy :)
So, according to what I found on Google, the trunk release is on the dash. But I also found out that the release has problems, so you may have pushed it and it not work. I suggest looking at your cars manual in finding the exact location, and to check the fuse to see if its good. That's all I got.
