this is stupid. now you are going to delete all the messages that are forwarded to you on purpose from friends/family/coworkers.

you are going to lose important mail!

It's not stupid it's made for the stupid people who spam with stupid chain-letters!!!

If you send email to someone who need to reply to you, that is why the REPLY option is there for!

If you watch and listen carefuly the vid, I'd never mention to do it with reply!

Have a little judgement when you do this and you have plany of other options to stop receiving spam. Because this is what it's all about, spam!!

I was not talking about replies!

Consider this for example:

Your boss gets an email with a task. He wants you to do it, so he FORWARDS it to you. If you have this filter up, you won't ever see that mail!

Worst case scenario, you can get yourself fired.

There are way better and less harmful ways of filtering spam.

Just because an email is forwarded it does not have to be spam.

I don't really care what you do with your own mail, but putting up a video like this and fooling people is not OK!

WOW man I'm not fooling anybody here! Did you watch the whole video or just a part? Cause at the end of the vid I clearly mention that people can also place an email adresse or a name of someone they want not receive emails anymore!

And if you're working in a place where your boss send you email, then take another free email just for your job if you're too afraid of losing it!!

As I said earlier, have a little judgement when you're doing this!!!

I'm not sure if you really don't understand what I am saying or you are just doing as if.

As I said earlier you can loose any type of email this way, not just work mail.

A few days I got a forwarded mail from a friend about a school reunion. Had your filter been active, I would not have been able to see that mail.

I just checked my spam folder. None of the first 100 emails had FW in its subject.

I also checked my inbox for the past 45 days. I have 80 mails starting with FW none of which is spam.

You never received shity email with a message that says foward this message to 10, 15 or 20 people and you'll will become rich otherwise you'll die!

Just please answer me 2 questions:

Do you understand that people can lose important emails and information if they use this filter?

If you do, then don't you think it's not nice to give people such an advise that can do harm to them?

Answer Q#1 & 2: If people are afraid to lose important informations, intelligently, they wont do that BUT, from 1:44 to 2:15, if they do this in the 1st step (after the filter is done), and in the 2nd step they hook inbox or any other file, they wont lose any impartant emails!

If you had asked some questions in the first place instead of assault me like you did, you had received an answer earlier!!

I have watched the part between 1:44 and 2:15 several times even before your previous comment but I do not think it is relevant to the question at hand in any way. That part describes how to filter individual email addresses, which is a good feature indeed.

My problem is however that your original filter will filter out e-mails that are not spam and might contain important information.

If I add individual addresses that further tightens up the filter and does not solve my problem.

Please define what you think FW an RE means in the subject.

This is not a stupid question, just to bug you out, I mean it seriously.

I think I know where the misunderstanding comes from, just want to make things clear.

FW = When you FORWARD an email you had received to your contact/s, other then the one who sent it to you!

RE1 = REPLIED to the person who sent you the email!

RE2 = If there is a list of emails attached to the message (To or Cc), you can do the REPLIED ALL option, to replied to everyone on the list even the sender!

Seriously CptZ, take a look at my other vids, one of them I show 1200 emails attached to the message from only 2 senders!

Now you'll know what I mean by SPAM from FW & RE!

And we all know that good spam-filters want to make as few (possibly none) false positive mistakes as possible.
