Could you crank the power right up and put a 2mile gap between the electrodes and by making sure there was several old peoples homes in between the electrodes it should be possible to vaporize atleast 2000 old biddies per day!! that will help the economy pick up a bit sooner!! anyway have you ever had the misfortune of having a hole in your teapot the size of 3! yes 3 boggles!!! its very annoying...

The spark is only burnning the gas that is in the cylinder pushing the piston down... thats it.. thats all

Try dumping more gas in the cylinder. and see what it does

I think your plasma is burning atmospheric moisture and oxygen an hydrogen out of atmosphere also.
