Pure coincidence. Jack knew his wife since high school, but didn't start dating her until like 2004 or 2005 (he was with comedian Laura Kightlinger for years before that). Dave knew Petra obviously much longer based on this video. And he also knew Jack much longer. I think Dave and Jack first met in 1997. Just a small world type situation.
