yey i just realised i have sata and i can now put my 600 gb usb hd on sata and it will go much faster :)

On my Serial ATA i have IDE and ATA? Its a 500gb and well i bought it off ebay and it of course came with no cords. So what do i do? Should i only buy the sata data cord and power it with IDE or what?
