  • I'm a huge James Ingram fan! voice of an angel! God truly blessed James.

  • fire

  • "sacrifiiiiiice" ( I love that part!) #Ingram

  • When he says, "Buy her some moonlight to wear", what is he referring to by "moonlight"? Can somebody help out here?

  • @barber747 yea he literally means moonlight, get her under the moonlight when he says buy her some moonlight to wear cause its romantic...anyone else can chime in if im wrong cause id like to know too if im wrong

  • @barber747 That's a good question! I was thinking about that too. First, I think that he would do anything for that girl and if he could he would buy her some moonlight to wear. Second: Moon is shining and maybe he thinks the same for the girl..That she's simply gloving and maybe moonlight will help her to shine even more. There are a lot of ways to discuss the meaning of this metaphor and i think it depends on u how will u experience and understand that :)

  • Great album!

  • Sweet!

  • young and old alike can learn from Quincy. start respecting our queens, and stop treating them like dirt.

  • La canciòn perfecta en los momentos perfectos al estilo de James Ingram.

  • Quincy sure as hell knew who to have lay down the vocals on this track. James kicks some major ass on this one as always.

  • This song best sums up the the natural responsive nature of a woman.

  • Quincy Jones has set the bar so High for being a Musical genius that i don't think anyone will ever reach it. Without him 20 yrs of great music would have never been made and so many beloved artist's would never have made Stardom. Mr Jones i would gladly Bow before your greatness.

  • I used to dance with the X to this, much happier times...

  • NICE SONG

  • Those of you who like this, listen to it and ignore all the b.s. Those of you who don't, don't listen to it. Go and find something else to do.

  • that cover scared all hell out of me when I was younger

  • This is too good! Great love advice, i'll use it.

  • always a mellow song

  • Guys this album is from 1981. MF Doom album is from 1999. Stop saying that Ingram stole this song. And by the way this awesome tune wasn't composed by James Ingram, it was composed by Quincy Jones!.

  • @asdfero ...Seems like someone can't read that it was a joke...

We all know who who James Ingram is, and yes we know what era he made music.

I'll let you continue thinking that you are a music connoisseur by getting your information you just used off the internet. Good day, sir.

  • @arsenal1032 Oh lol sorry for not getting a joke over YouTube. Why are you so mad about? Why are you being so hostile?. Good day to you too, sir.

Oh yeah and btw i got this music and info from my father, so i'm definetly not a "music connoisseur" as you say :P

  • @asdfero Well Actually this song was not composed by Quincy Jones. It was composed by Kathy Wakefield, Tony Coleman, and Benjamin Wright. Quincy Jones is the artist for this song, but James Ingram ended up doing vocals....So Quincy Jones is respectfully the artist for the song.

  • @4Ebsus Thanks for the heads up.

  • @asdfero No problem...But you were close though.

  • Monosodium Glutamate - Special Herbs vol. 1-2 MF DOOM

  • @versatilethearcane Hehe. Thanks for getting the joke. :-)

  • @MyceliaProductions42 no problem....sarcastic wit is awesome

  • @MyceliaProductions42 What r u 12

  • @almostcutmyhair69 Go away, troll. Only adults with child-like sarcastic senses of humor allowed in here. ;-)

  • @MyceliaProductions42 Uhhh. Your dates are TOTALLY WRONG. You know this is from 1981. And MF Doom's hit "Rhymes Like Dimes" is from 1999. So you need to get that together.

  • @4Ebsus TWAS JOKES! 'N JOKES! 'N JOKES! Seriously...check the above comments. I'm about to be 41. I remember the original all too well. All in good fun! :-D

  • Perfect song to play to your special lady on that special occasion. I picked this one out for my wife on our wedding. One of the few songs I picked out that was not a monster rock balled. LOL!
