Excellent arrangement here! Rossini originally wrote this piece for a philharmonic orchestra; four Allen Quantums handled everything but the percussions, literally (if memory serves me correctly, a snare drum and cymbals were used along with tympani in the original opera score).
Love real organ players displaying their talent, unlike Diane Bish. She can only play the pedals with one foot (the other is always on the volume pedal) resulting in a staccato base line.
@ejm33304 I wouldn't knock Diane, she's an exceptional organist, and I disagree with your comment about the staccato bass line completely, however, I do agree she likes expressive swell pedalling.
Thats....kind of the point of an organ. Otherwise it'd just be the unique pipe organ sound where as many organs cover the sounds of an entire symphony including not only all wind instruments but more often than not, strings too.
i dont think they have any pipes. im pretty sure they are all digitally reproduced sounds of a real organ. it's amazing what they can do with tech know
I just wish the organist would play this during Communion.

I wonder if they have ever considered perfoming Hector Berlioz's Symphony Fantastique?

They all seem to be pipe organs. That is really something, in the same room!

The Philadelphia Organ Quartet is the most amazing act I've ever experienced. If you ever get a chance to see them perform - DON"T MISS IT!!

A wonderful rendition of the William Tell Overture!
However, there is a more-famous Mr. Stairs in Philadelphia.
I wouldn't be one bit surprised if your Mr. Stairs had a Phillies t-shirt that said "Use Stairs in case of emergency"! ;-)
