gamle lier mentalsykehus, Norway. built in 1920 and shut down in 1987 due to too many "experimental prosedures". known to experiment with lobotomy and submerging pasients in electrified bathtubs. most of the pasient submitted to this asylum died the same year. the building still stands and many of the journals and medical equipment is still there. the doors to the basement is about 2 feet thick and bolted shut. no one has been in the basement since 1950, and there is no record of whats there.

Think about it! What if a guy was sentenced to go to one of these prisons for a crime he didn't commit? And did the guards ever consider that what they did could make them worse than the actual prisoners? And if they ever got caught, did they ever consider the same thing might happen to them?

They've done studies showing that people, when they hold complete authority over the 'bodies' and lives of other people, are inclined to abuse them (husbands and wives, mothers and children).
