I had the hardest time finding stock for one. Same thing with me, back order. I found an eBay store, with stock, in Canada (luckily, so am I) with free shipping. I just got it yesterday. Played a party with it last night. It's been amazing. Hope you get yours soon.

Ahhh...it's even sexier in motion... :-D Mine, of course, will be here Monday. Vinyl is so expensive, I figure this way I can put together a mix that I love first, then I can get the vinyls, if I want to play it OUT. I have enough ancient trance tracks I can't realistically spin, thank you :-) Nice demo!

i got my numark omni control today but i have no idea how to use monitoring. i plug my headphones in and press all kinds of "cue" nobs and buttons but my headphones stay silent.

is there anyone who can help me out?

Well first, read the instructions!

Second, are you using USB 1.1 or USB 2? Only the main output works if you're using USB 1.1

Third, you will probably have to set the cue in the software, as the OMNI acts as a soundcard, so the software controls where the sound gets sent.

yes, you are right. the only problem is: the sound comes out of the outputs for monitoring with speakers but not from the headphone output. it should come out of both.

i heard that some people have problems using omni control under mac osx 10.5.6. i also use it but i'm not sure how to downgrade to 10.5.5. maybe thats the reason.

The sync button Arrrh!!!

Some one on here did a mix with that button on bcd3000! I posted how rubbish it was that he couldn't beat match and had to use it and i only got a load of slack from a load of other noobs! In my eye's they should of never invented the sync button!

At first, Djs laugh about computers and mp3 or playing with your laptop. They only use vinyls. It's a tool, you can use it or not. You are a good dj when people dance and have fun while you are on the booth. You can mix without a headset even, but if people get bored, is uselss

how old are you? I'm 37 years old. I started with vinyls and when the first computer djs appear, most of the traditional djs didn't like it. Maybe my english is not so clear and you get me wrong. Someone said that using sync button is not mixing. I said that is not ok to make judgments about that kind of things because AT FIRST djs use to laugh about computer djs and now everybody use it. Maybe in the future all the djs use the sync button. A good dj is that one who make people dance.

i thought da same some years before... but, when i Saw Tom Novy, Roger Sanchez, Eric Prydz... /a lot of great DJs/ not 2 use vinyl... they made some cool night only with CD (MP3).../ and final scratch, and ableton live/

there is a hungarian DJ -> Shane 54... he calls himself... -> Laptop DJ...

he plays his sets /before or after/ a lot of great trance DJs /Tiesto, van Buuren Ferry Corsten/

Ahh, the latency on my budget controller pretty much prevents me from doing sudden sharp movements with the faders, it's very irritating.

i recently purchased a total control to find out that it wouldnt work properly on my laptop running vista and virtual dj,because it is a driverless device,i would like to know if anyone can tell if it is easy to get the drivers for this and also if anyone knows of the compatability with vista and vdj

I have a TC and use VDJ and Vista and everything works fine. I might have updated with new drivers from newmarks site but other than that it runs great

I just got one of these bad boys. Amazing, really sturdy, Has a great inbuilt soundcard. Only grumble is there is no tks file for Traktor 3.4 yet, at least not one that is mapped correctly.

I didn't test it on a big soundset jet so I can't tell you exactly, but it sounds very good on my home-set (better than the small hercules controllers)

The Jogweels are plastic with a rubber-like feel but don't feel toy-like. They have very little resistance to them so it's possible to move them by accident, never happened to me though (in 8+ hrs)

What about the sound quality? It has a sound card pro integrated? Better than X-Audio Xponent? The D/A (Digital to analog sound ext)converters are good?

(last version Traktor Pro included midi mapping specialy for Omni)
