Hah neat, I also have a yorkie. I never took the time to train him and he doesn't listen what so ever. But he is a great companion dog and just wants to play all the time. I would recommend this dog to anyone. The only downside is the stubborn behavior and the barking. But then again who cares they are so damn cute. I also have that heart shaped tag, and ironically named mine Maximilian opposed to Minni. Kind of ironic seeing as he is 6 pounds.

Your dog wants more than anything to please you and a smack in the head isn't an answer when he can't figure out how. Try reading a book on dog training? Visiting a website? Library? Anything is better than nothing (or hitting). : /

Hi, I have been reseasrching about how to look after, train and learn the behaviour of dogs for eight years. The local milkman is breeding his two Yorkshire Terriers (he always takes them to work with him they are so playful and happy) in March and my dad said he is going to buy one for me because I have earned it. Dogs aren't just a present. They are for life. I am so excited about it that I do extra research on the Yorkshire Terrier breed every day!

why would I have them surgically done?? You mean like plastic surgery? Hell no. That is the way she was born - sometimes they are up and sometimes they are down. they are all different.

Yorkie puppies ears are straight up. It is best to keep the hair trimmed on them until they are 6 months old, then they will stand up more. If they arent trimmed the hair will weigh them down and make them stay down. That chick doesnt know what she is talking about. Who would get surgery on their dogs ears?

My dog is 3 mounths on wednesday i think. His name is Emmett, like the character from twilight. The problem is that he doesn't like treats, even if there small and wet so they are easier on his teeth. We'vetried all types of goodies to, he just doesn't seem to like them.
