Empires only work by exploitation and conquest, Rome ran out of soldiers therefore could no longer expand and could barely defend vast borders ergo resources were no longer plundered like before requiring long term commitment to existing territory. Rome was the greatest empire ever though.

dude I love your video and I wish rome were around these days but do you honestly think modern Romans soldiers would really wear their ancestors feathered hekmets. Americans wore civil war and revolutionary uniforms. They dont wear that now. A Roman helmet would only work if it was either ceremonial in purpose or was made of light polyester material, yet strong enough to stop bullet and shrapnel. Sorry to intrude. Sorry, your video is a bit naive. First, if Rome never fell, why European borders looks exactly as in our history? Why countries like USA & even the USSR (???) exists? In fact your "Pax Romana" should be much more different from our world. Second, your "Pax Romana" should be much more developed (technologically) cause weren't any "dark ages" in Europe. Perhaps, industrial revolution around 1000AD & first spaceships around 1500AD... of course, It's my IMHO only.

The helmets are unrealistic. Such helmets were already out of use by the time the real-life empire collapsed. I would expect the helmets to be the same as they are in real modern armies, adapted for gun-based warfare rather than hand-to-hand fighting.

Also, I'd like to know what they're doing with a corpse in their missile defence systems :P

Maybe this is just my option, if the Eastern part of Rome has surive after 1453 I doubt they would even be able to get all of Italy under their control. But who knows, even after Rome fell, the eastern Roman Empire was later able to take back small parts of Italy and the city of Rome for a short period of about three hundreth years. But if the Eastern Roman Empire was around today they would be more like a modern Greece but only different is they would have a modern army but not like the USA.
