  • lovely squid on his head.

  • that goalie cam is cool, i demand to see that put back.

  • @tonial39 ehh idk...i couldnt see shit

  • gotta love the skate jersey

  • Lol home alone 10 yrs later, thats funny I sort of chuckled then I started laughing hard :)

  • Announcer seriously has a orgasm over Roys first save?

  • @jc790 Roy didnt save that.

  • @Lotsoffun111

I didn't see the puck go through Roy.

  • in the 90's that backhand, slide it 5-hole deke was actually finesse move that not a lot of players tried. now its a common deke on breakaway or penalty shot

  • Those days it was enough that you scored, but nowadays you have to do something really trickson. Better or not?

  • Hasek was a better Goalie than Brodeur. We all know this, fuck the career stats, who was better in their prime? Hasek. Buffalo Sabres.

  • who would win a fight though

    roy vs bure?

    ROY!

    fuck osgood and hasek!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i like pavel though lol

  • legit goal

  • Pavel loved Montreal for the strip from Berry to Papineau on Ste-Catherine. He used to spent his holidays out there. I wish he had signed with Montreal in 99, but seems that a million less was not worth the village. I can understand that.

  • that camera angle was gay

  • roy is the greatest

  • @polostarz martin brodeur was the best

  • @polostarz

I think Brodeur and Sawchuck have something to say about that.

  • @Spetz I don't think they would, for sure not Broduer he sucks so bad the only reason he passed Roys regular season win record in only 34 less games is because he plays so many regular season games, and than when playoff time comes he's burnt out. Not to mention a lot of those regular season games are against medicore teams, where Roy would let the backup play. Just remember a few quick facts

Roy-- 151 playoff wins, 4 cups, 3 MVP

    Brodeur--99 wins, 3 cups , 0 MVP

  • @polostarz

Brodeur doesn't suck....3 cups were mostly attributed to him. Just because he didn't win the MVP doesn't mean he wasn't worthy of winning it. Either way, his consistency throughout his career is what's gotten him in all the record books, so I don't think he's worse than Roy. They both won and lost when they weren't supposed to.

  • Saddest interview ever.

  • visit shottec . com

  • Bure =Stud

  • bure kinda looks like macauly caulkin

  • YEEEEEEEE

  • what about gilmore?

  • BURE IS MY NHL HERO!!

  • Its obviously down between Hasek and Roy. Personally I think Hasek is the best but its close. Roy always had a good team in front of him. Hasek lead the Sabres through the playoffs and to the cup. The sabres 99 cup team was a great team but there wasnt any stars or big name players like Roy had in Colorado.

  • Brodeur has the most impressive body of work in my mind. Roy is my favorite of the three though.

  • Roy's Montreal teams were mediocre. Not saying Hasek didn't carry his team to whatever success they had, but he never won anything important until he played for the stacked Red Wings. Roy won with great teams and not so great teams and was playoff MVP 3 times. Pretty hard to top that.

  • Oh please, I gotta say Hasek's Buffalo teams were such shit especially 1999. Not taking anything from Roy he was one of the best, but Hasek basically strapped his ballsack to that net and made sure nobody scored during the late 90s. But hey, at least they both got cups.

  • I'm not going to dispute that Hasek carried the Sabres for years. But it's such a myth that Patrick Roy always played for great teams. He didn't. They were not expected to win anything in either '86 or '93. Plus, there are a lot of other factors that I feel give the edge to Roy in the debate anyway, such as his monumental influence on the position in so many ways. That's not to say Hasek isn't still one of the all-time greats.

  • You mean like a 60 save overtime shutout to win a game Montreal didn't even deserve to be in.

  • dude cmon best goalie ever = Kevin Weeks..... Duh......

  • hahaha! love it.

  • lol

  • I disagree. Arturs Irbe.

  • oh yeah you're right an Hall of Famer such as Arturs Irbe deserve number one

  • haha

  • man bure sure is amazing even in the later years

  • i dont agree with you about roy being the best goalie , for me it clearly was hasek like mc said he won 6 vezina + 2 hart ..so its hasek :D

  • also hasek had less of a team in front of him....so it makes it much more difficult to put up the great numbers he did

  • Haha Bure was so young back then

  • well roy is the best goalie of all time.

  • Vladislav Tertiak is. Roy maybe is second best.....

  • go back to reading the bible like the gullible retard you are; you cant even spell tretiak right.

  • WTF wrong with you joyfulvulture ?

You judge people from different counties by how they spell in English?

    You must be real ASSHOLE

  • obviously you aren't that much better

you must be "a" real asshole

    dumbass

  • I agree. Tretiak is the best.

  • Roy absolutely robbed the Kings in '93. The weakest Canadiens team to ever win a cup! And they wouldn't even have done it had it not been for a dumb rule and biased referee calls to swing the whole thing in their favour...

  • Just like how the refs tried killing the Wings in the playoffs against the Ducks this year.

  • "Just like how the refs tried killing the Wings in the playoffs against the Ducks this year"

that go ahead goal in game 7 wasnt a goal, so stop crying.

  • It's makeup for the fuckup on the Hossa goal.

    GOLF DUCKIES, GOLF!

  • Home Alone: Ten years later

  • lol everyone nows that know that comment is said like everyday since some guy made it like a year ago but yea he his home alone

  • great hands, great moves

but a face like little boy

  • dam i forgot about wen they used to have the helmet cams...they gotta do that shit again it was a pretty sikk addition

  • Bure was amazing to watch at the Canucks games, he had a knack for finding the 5-hole and he could even whack the puck in mid air like a baseball bat into the net and he has done so. Roy was slowly going downhill in the late 90s with the Avs, he started getting frustrated every game and losing his temper which threw his game off.

  • How what?

  • roy is terrible he is only remembered for his wins that he didnt earn and his style

  • That doesn't even make sense...

  • how

  • How...did he not earn his wins?

How...come so many goalies now use his style?

I hated Roy because I was a Nordiques fan and he was with the Habs, but let's be honest, he actually is one of the best goalies ever. He's looked stupid on many occasions, but every goalie has.

  • i dont know i just believe brodeur is so much better

  • ok hes good but i dont believe that hes alot better

  • how does it not make sense? it doesnt make sense because u just sed that 1 of the greatest goalies ever is terrible, thats how it doesnt make sense

  • I bet you those people have a grudge, because Roy robbed their favorite team of a stanley cup at some point.

  • no shit, roy robbed the kings of the cup in 93,without him the idea of the canadiens winning the stanley cup is downright foolish

  • kewinsimpguy, you are so wrong about Roy. He carried the Habs for 10 years. Roy was the ONLY reason the Habs won the Stanley Cup in 1986 and 1993. They were outshot and outplayed in many of those playoff years especially 93 where they won 12 overtime games. Face it Roy was the best goalie in the 80's

  • Roy wasn't the best goalie of the 80's. Maybe the best goalie of the 90's.

  • Roy was the best from 86 to 96, I guess you can say he's the best of the 80's and 90's, but most would say Brodeur was better in the 90's. My reasoning is the 86 and 93 Stanley Cups were won or some would say stolen by Roy. Those years the Habs were far from being the best team in the NHL. Roy won it himself, and a goalie that can accomplish that should be classified as the best.

  • Dude Hasek won 6 Vezina trophies and 2 Hart trophies in the 1990's, I think it's safe to say neither Roy or Brodeur were the best of the 90's, Hasek clearly was.

  • He may also be remembered for his 3 Conn Smythe's, 4 Stanley Cup's, 3 Vezina's and for arguably being the best clutch-goalie of all time.

    Just a thought.

  • i was at pavel's last game against buffalo at the garden it was sad

  • i wasnt there but I watched it, it was sad, Bure couldve been so great, but his knees gave up on him.

  • and he was threatened for his life by the mob to lose games and such.

  • i have heard that.. explain a little more?

  • I know, it's sad he got killed by the mob, Anna and him made a great couple :(

  • Did he know it was his last game?

  • fuckin amazing goal at :27

  • Neat to see what Bure looks like without the helmet. It would have made so much sense for the NHL to have made its controversial 1992-93 optional helmet rule more workable with zero tolerance policies on stick and boarding related offences along with enlarged rinks for the newer arenas being planned at the time, since a number of players actually did sign waivers to go bareheaded. This would have greatly improved fan-player identification and cut down greatly on cheap shots.

  • The guy was my favorite player of all time. He was disgustingly good. I've never seen a guy have it all offensively the way he did. The most exciting player of the 90's, no question. That guy could score at will.

  • i agree.. shame he tore his acl.. not really the same after imp

  • Bure was reportedly seen in montreal's village during the night after the skills competition.

  • "Here's Stevens against...."

Oh yeah, that's right. Stevens sucks and we're just going to forget his participation ever existed.

    Cut to next scene!

  • nasitest player of my time ...besides maybe lemioux or jagr, i would add messier and gretzky but they played since the 70s

  • 80's you fucking retard.

  • Bure belongs in the Hall of Fame.

  • No matter what side we're on, we've got to respect each other.

  • lol, look at Bure's face at the end.

"I want to get away from this man"

  • lol. so true.

  • Pavel Bure amazed me like no other player. If he was still playing, i would rate him above Crosby and Ovechkin. He was (and still is) my idol!!!

  • wea there we go

  • That golie cam is horrible! No wonder it's not used any more.

  • BURE = MOST GOALS in the least amount of time

how's that hard to understand moron?

    DUR DUR !

  • Bure looks like Macaulay Culkin

  • i said that like 8 months ago............ i was the first to notice lol

  • someone else agrees with me lol look at the comments on page 3

  • I said that 15 years ago

  • one of the best goal scorers

  • bures the greatesttttttt

  • BURE set the record for the most stats in the least amount of time !!!

    seriously

  • What does that even mean?

  • meh, 1993.

  • that was amazing

  • looks like the kid from home alone kind of

  • haha mccauley kulkin or w/e that kids name is haha yeah i see the resemblence 2

  • guess iam not only one that sees it

  • yea but he is still probaly had the greatest hands in hockey history and no offence dude but naruto sucks

  • wow, they should do that in the all star competitions nowadays, I mean shoot, go back, shoot, 3 shots in a row. that would be more exciting than what they do now

  • Bure was the reason I started playing hockey.

    PS that mask-cam was terrible.

  • Okay, only Mario Lemeiux and Mike Bossy has more goals-per-game than the russian rocket.

  • bure roks lol

  • name 50 better goal scorers, or even 25. i don't think he got a chance to even reach his prime before injuries

  • hahahahahaha thats so hilarious...but true. lol

  • Bure should of gone down in history as one of the best that ever straped on skates!!

  • Did he score on the first shot???

  • As matter of fact, he scored on the 3 attempts but the second one was dismissed for a reason that I didn't understand.

  • Plain and simple, Bure was just special. To be a canuck fan, and get to watch him everygame. Was truly a pleasure.

  • He wouldn't publicly state what he really thought of the situation if he was upset with the fans, correct.

But would he make a concious effort to state that Vancouver had the best fans in the world, and then go on to sign a new 4-year contract with the Canucks? Because both of those are what happened.

Again, you have no idea what you're talking about. Your brain is obviously distorting whatever you saw on TSN, so stop running off your mouth here as if what you're saying is fact.

  • You really do have no iea what you're talking about.

  • You're full of shit, and have no idea what you're talking about. This rumour you're referring to was simply one that came up in the papers during the '94 playoffs that he would withhold his services until offered a new, generous contract. This issue was resolved, Bure played AMAZINGLY during those playoffs, and immediately after the playoffs he stated that Vancouver had the "best fans in the world."

  • He went on to sign a new contract, and it was not until FOUR YEARS after that that he demanded a trade - mostly because he desired to move to a city where he could enjoy more of a sense of anonymity. So stfu and do your own research before talking out of your ass like that.

  • "NO fun in Soviet Union."

    ;)

  • Bure and Roy were amazing! too bad they left:(

  • My brother and I recorded this back in '93. We've moved a dozen times since so unfortunately it is long lossed. Bure was always my favorite, the guy was just jaw dropping.

  • sweet that was awsome

  • I couldn't see the goal from the goalie cam until the replay.

  • id give my knees to have him back in the NHL i miss the plays and the entertainment he gave to the sport and the sport is losing alot of attention because there isnt super highlighters like the russian rocket

  • He made roy look like a little kid on the last goal.

  • afinogenov and bure do both tape their shin pads to their skates identically. it makes the skates tighter around the ankles. some people find it more comfortable. i do.

  • they really do that? ive done that since i was a kid never new bure did it but i knew maxim did lol coolness

  • Pavel Bure so fast, so skilled. We miss you in vancouver.

  • pavel and maxim wear their skates the same way - they tape them up (dont know how to say properly) thats why their skating style looks so alike :)

    greetz from germany

  • Both Bure and Afinogenov are hockey gods no doubt about it.

  • i can see some comparisons between bure and afinogenov. He just needs to bury more of his chances

  • bure was good as a player, but as a person he was a bitch. Seriosuly, he had no respect for the fans.

  • thats bullshit man he had tons of repect for the fans, did you know that while he was in florida he stayed for hours during a fan fest so everyone got a chance to meet him and get his autograph

  • i think bure respected the fans a lot! he always said he plays for the fans to entertain them

  • this really is the best against the best

  • These two are both sweet. Hey does Maxim Afinogenov remind anyone else of Pavel?

  • no afinagenov is dick bure is a nice guy :p

  • no actually afinogenov is really nice. I haven't met Bure but I'm betting he's nice too. Most hockey players are.

  • Maxim and Pavel have the same stick handling ability and elusiveness but Maxin is nowhere near in speed and scoring ability. Both entertaining to watch though.

  • hybridsoldier300, you are a drop kick, how the hell could you ever think Roy played for the canucks. He brought the cup to the canadiens in 93, so as you would say he is god.

  • i ment if bure was god

  • Haha sorry I didnt read that far back lol sorry

  • its cool dont worry. lol

  • Two great players going in a shootout against each other being creative and just having fun. Great to watch. That deke that Bure made was just nasty and so was the first save by Roy.

  • Roy was god between the pipes...Enough said about that.

  • the third deke is probably the best deke of all time...

  • What a speed on Bure

  • when the nhl was amazing...

  • yup know what you mean.I have a hard time watching the NHL today.

  • when was the infamous game vs detroit?

  • This was the year the All Star Game was held at the Montreal Forum. Roy started the game played the next night, and posted a shutout in his only period between the pipes

  • I bet posting a shutout was ensured by his not facing Brad Marsh that night, LOL. I wonder if anybody has Marshy's goal from that game to upload here.

  • I remember watching the skills competion. Marsh did 0 out of the 10 targets, at least the half his shots went wide of or over the net and the other were right in the middle of the net. That was so embarassing for him as a nhl player cause he had difficulty to catch the passes and turn to net.

  • ...was God.

  • Bure=The Man!

  • Bure is GOD!!!

  • ok, if he was god, he woulda brought the cup to the canucks in 94, and woulda beat ritcher, but he couldnt b/c ritcher is too good.

  • Too Bad Roy never played for the Canucks..your thinking of Kirk McLean..Thanks for trying

  • i was talking bout bure dumass. thanks for trying!
