Sigh...... I want to know what happen to Revan and the exile; KOTOR 2 does not give a clear answer to anything. I dont really want to play a starwar online game; there will be like lightsabers everwhere while jedi and sith suppose to be hard to become. Lucasarts really plays dirty; they could just make KOTOR 3 and make billions but no.... they want more.

Honestly I think it looks crappy. All MMO's are the same, Childish graphics, idiots running around killing N00BZ, and shiny armors everywhere. The combat system just looks a hit and hit and hit, not an actual lightsaber fight like SWKOTOR. Imagine if this was a single player they could have focused in graphics and make a SWKOTOR with Mass Effect graphics. Now that would have been a game that I would buy even before Skyrim. Now this... meh, I can't pay 15 $ a month nor I feel like doing it.

Hey guys for those of you who are really wondering about Revan their is a book coming out by Andrew Karpyshyn who wrote the Darth Bane novels. He said its going to tell about between Kotor 1 and 2 then what happened after Kotor 2 and have a span of about 5 years. It's called The Old Republic: Revan
SWTOR is not WOW, SWTOR has a story which was written by the same people that wrote KOTOR I & II, plus if you really are a star wars fan you will play it, if you dont your action will be considered heresy and blue people on bantha mounts will come after you !

Everybody is complaining about KOTOR 3 not being made. I agree, it would be awesome. However, don't crap all over this game just because of that. This is being Made by Bioware, and it is story based. For all intents and purposes, it IS KOTOR 3. I'm not a fan of MMO's either, but this is a Bioware game. Except for Dragon Age 2, they have made nothing but excellent games!

This game is like 1 part Lucas Arts, 9 parts Bioware. And although this video does look a little choppy as someone else said, it's been shaping up very well. While this could certainly have just been a KOTOR3, I think TOR will be a fantastic MMO. Sorry to those out there that won't be able to play it though.
i have to say i think i will be disappointed with this games. It seems to have a more childish edge then its predecessors and although the original was made years earlier the fighting was done much better. This seemed to choppy. maybe its just me?

@DeviousClarky Because MMOs on consoles suck donkey dick on PC. The Keyboard and mouse are a superior set up for controlling a character in an MMO and if they tried to accommodate a console controller they'd screw everyone else over.

@RecamZero Don't get me wrong man I know how you feel. But I think TOR will be as satisfactory as, if not more than, Kotor. Because TOR is bringing in all the elements of single rpg that loyal fans of the kotor series and bioware in general loved in KOTOR. Plus the amount of content in TOR has been said to be more than all of Bioware's previous games COMBINED (including all expansions and DLCs). Thats a huge game.
Plus i think bioware will be making a bigger profit with TOR than Kotor....

@RecamZero Kotor2 failed not because of massive content it failed because it wasn't consistant. Plus kotor2 wasn't done by Bioware it was done by Obsiden. Bioware has yet to fail on a game and i don't see them failing on this one.
And the Bioware developers have stated already numerous times that you will find out what happen to both Revan and to the Exile. Specifically Daniel Erickson stated that Revan and the Exiles stories will be concluded in TOR

@RecamZero I understand how you feel but I understand Bioware's reasons for not doing it. They feel it would have been more complicated to wrap up these two characters stories in one RPG, especially since its not the same character.
But their main reason is because this has been Bioware's dream project for almost a decade and they finally are getting a chance to do it. Why not let them create their dream project. Because all that means is that it will be even greater for the fans

@RecamZero I've played both KOTOR games if that's what you're asking. And I disagree, this was most likely the 3rd KOTOR but then they decided since it's only like 2,000 years before Episode 1, to just call it The Old Republic. Since it doesn't have to do with the tragedies of Revan, or what the galaxy was like after him, it seems better to just call it The Old Republic.

Its not like Mass Effect where you can carry over your decisions to Mass Effect 2 and then carry all those decision into Mass Effect 3. All the decisions you made in kotor 1 were not carried over into kotor 2 so the gamer's personal character developement is compeletely thrown out of the window. So again whats da purpose?

And vice versa if they decide to tell the story from Revan's perspective, it would destroy the purpose of creating your own personality of the Exile because lets face it you can't control and create 2 personalities at once in an single player rpg game.

Which leads to my second problem with a kotor 3 because you have 2 differnet stories you have 2 different perspectives. Whose perspective would you tell kotor 3 story. if you choose exile perspective well you can't be Revan

And I feel just adding more people to create a whole new squad just doesn't meet the point of the continuing a story. And really that was the problem with Kotor 2 in the first place it was not a continuation of kotor 1

You are getting all the elements of a single rpg kotor game. not just story wise but they have said you can complete the game by playing solo if you choose to. plus you get to effect the worlds you visit just like you did in kotor. Bioware cares about the stories they tell and the characters they create and they have shown that throughout their presentation of TOR. Plus bioware never made a bad game in my opinion so I have faith they will give an honorable end to Revan

Revan went into the unknown regions by himself and no one knows where he went. Bastilla and Carth stayed behind so they wouldn't be in KOTOR 3 anyway, only people that would possibly be in KOTOR 3 is HK and T3, but they went with the Exile, not Revan. So how would u do KOTOR 3 right with only 3 party members?

@PrivetCyan First of all Bioware never made battlefront, or republic commando. Plus I am happy they decided not to make KOTOR 3 because the way KOTOR 2 ended it doesn't give a lot of room Story Wise. This gives them more free range to end the story how they want to.
Plus you will still have a single player story element to the game. They have said repeatedly that you can complete most of the game in solo mode. So your not loosing the single player rpg element
I love the World of Warcraft style armor. This is really the right direction to take the highest-quality Star Wars game franchise of all time. Take a great cast of characters and make sure the game is far enough into the future that they are all dead, and give everybody pauldrons. Giant stalactite pauldrons
@harilip the game is played on multipayer only. u have to pay and play it. however u can do quests on ur own without having to group with other people.
I admit it is unfair of Bioware to prevent us from ever playing a Knights of the Old Republic 3, but if this game gets plenty of good reviews I'll pick it up. Shit you'll have to subscribe to it though, real shit indeed.
This looks like a great game. Never played KOTOR much. I only played a bit of the first one cos my game kept crashing. Can't wait for ME3 though.

@DeviousClarky Because MMOs on consoles suck donkey dick on PC. The Keyboard and mouse are a superior set up for controlling a character in an MMO and if they tried to accommodate a console controller they'd screw everyone else over.

@RecamZero Don't get me wrong man I know how you feel. But I think TOR will be as satisfactory as, if not more than, Kotor. Because TOR is bringing in all the elements of single rpg that loyal fans of the kotor series and bioware in general loved in KOTOR. Plus the amount of content in TOR has been said to be more than all of Bioware's previous games COMBINED (including all expansions and DLCs). Thats a huge game.
Plus i think bioware will be making a bigger profit with TOR than Kotor....

@RecamZero Kotor2 failed not because of massive content it failed because it wasn't consistant. Plus kotor2 wasn't done by Bioware it was done by Obsiden. Bioware has yet to fail on a game and i don't see them failing on this one.
And the Bioware developers have stated already numerous times that you will find out what happen to both Revan and to the Exile. Specifically Daniel Erickson stated that Revan and the Exiles stories will be concluded in TOR

@RecamZero I understand how you feel but I understand Bioware's reasons for not doing it. They feel it would have been more complicated to wrap up these two characters stories in one RPG, especially since its not the same character.
But their main reason is because this has been Bioware's dream project for almost a decade and they finally are getting a chance to do it. Why not let them create their dream project. Because all that means is that it will be even greater for the fans

@XenosagaForever There won't be a kotor 3 and its really not Bioware's fault because even if bioware says they want to make Kotor 3 Lucas arts won't do it. Because the new owner of lucasarts has haulted all external game productions (games made with developers outside of lucasarts itself) therefore NO Kotor 3 No Battlefront 3

@RecamZero I've played both KOTOR games if that's what you're asking. And I disagree, this was most likely the 3rd KOTOR but then they decided since it's only like 2,000 years before Episode 1, to just call it The Old Republic. Since it doesn't have to do with the tragedies of Revan, or what the galaxy was like after him, it seems better to just call it The Old Republic.

I said it WILL, people should realize Bioware isn't making Kotor 3, and see that this game will not only involve Kotor, but have a story like it too. @RecamZero Dude you really need to do your research before you claim it's a WoW clone. If you complain about combat being the same, almost every mmo has the same style combat. TOR's going to bring a lot of new things like story, light/dark points, and full VO into the MMO genre. Besides WoW ripped a LOT off of Everquest. And how could they have run into monetary problems, they've had no problem putting $80 million into making TOR

Respond to this video... And its even worse by what your suggest by bringing in another character to tell the story cause then the purpose of both kotor 1 and 2 are nullified. Its not like Mass Effect where you can carry over your decisions to Mass Effect 2 and then carry all those decision into Mass Effect 3. All the decisions you made in kotor 1 were not carried over into kotor 2 so the gamer's personal character developement is compeletely thrown out of the window. So again whats da purpose?

@Ki11sw1tch96 Continue.... and if you can't be Revan then you have to create a voice and then you have to settle on a personality of Revan, which would then destroy the total purpose of kotor 1, which was you got to shape Revan's personality. And vice versa if they decide to tell the story from Revan's perspective, it would destroy the purpose of creating your own personality of the Exile because lets face it you can't control and create 2 personalities at once in an single player rpg game.

@Ki11sw1tch96 because if you actually think about it Kotor 1 and 2 are two completely separate stories that only linked by mention points on revan but if you look at the actual overall story of kotor 2 its not about revan at all.
Which leads to my second problem with a kotor 3 because you have 2 differnet stories you have 2 different perspectives. Whose perspective would you tell kotor 3 story. if you choose exile perspective well you can't be Revan

@Ki11sw1tch96 It doesn't make any sense based on your own facts. Kreia tells you what happens to the rest of the your friends none of them ever sees you again. and It is clear that Bastilla and Carth never run into Revan after what happens in KOTOR 1 so forget them as well
And I feel just adding more people to create a whole new squad just doesn't meet the point of the continuing a story. And really that was the problem with Kotor 2 in the first place it was not a continuation of kotor 1

@KiraDanny If KOTOR 2 had continued the story of revan instead of doing a completely different story with the exile then yes I would love to have kotor 3. but I don't want a kotor 3 if the story can't be done right and i feel with someone as iconic as revan and the way obsidean did kotor 2 i just don't feel a single player rpg will do revan service when you have to conclude two perspective stories. Besides w TOR you are getting everything you had with Kotor. You can still play single player

You are getting all the elements of a single rpg kotor game. not just story wise but they have said you can complete the game by playing solo if you choose to. plus you get to effect the worlds you visit just like you did in kotor. Bioware cares about the stories they tell and the characters they create and they have shown that throughout their presentation of TOR. Plus bioware never made a bad game in my opinion so I have faith they will give an honorable end to Revan

For everyone complaining and bitching about MAKE KOTOR 3, GIVE IT UP!!! ITS NOT HAPPENING.
Besides making a KOTOR 3 will not make any since storywise
1. No one was with Revan when he went to the unknown regions so that means almost zero companions.
2. from whose perspective would story be told from, Revan's or the Exiles. Either way it doesn't add up to make a good story.
3. TOR is KOTOR 3,4,5,6,7 8+
4. TOR still gives you a single player story rpg aspect

@Ki11sw1tch96 Just tell me how would you have Bastilla, Carth, Revan, T3, and HK47 all in KoTOR 3 and make sense of the story. Revan went into the unknown regions by himself and no one knows where he went. Bastilla and Carth stayed behind so they wouldn't be in KOTOR 3 anyway, only people that would possibly be in KOTOR 3 is HK and T3, but they went with the Exile, not Revan. So how would u do KOTOR 3 right with only 3 party members?

@PrivetCyan First of all Bioware never made battlefront, or republic commando. Plus I am happy they decided not to make KOTOR 3 because the way KOTOR 2 ended it doesn't give a lot of room Story Wise. This gives them more free range to end the story how they want to.
Plus you will still have a single player story element to the game. They have said repeatedly that you can complete most of the game in solo mode. So your not loosing the single player rpg element

I love the World of Warcraft style armor. This is really the right direction to take the highest-quality Star Wars game franchise of all time. Take a great cast of characters and make sure the game is far enough into the future that they are all dead, and give everybody pauldrons. Giant stalactite pauldrons
