The Clash is one of the first punk bands i ever got into, it started from my mother and father... there old punks who support Anarky, i think its great that i have parents that belive in something different apart from mainstream ballshit E.G "hiphop, R&B..." i think PUNK shows more talent, raw power, spirit and free will, this tune is very political, it shows what modern day society can bring out at such times, but hey, im sitting in the living room chilling out with my parents :) young punk mee

the band that has did more for today's music than any other i can think of. but its what they stood for that makes them stand out for me, the need to be straight up, honest, and real.makes sure they have their place in history . after the clash most band seem trivial and only in it for what they can get out of it, you never felt that at a clash gig. .

Four of the coolest fuckers on the planet. What a splendid racket they made. I'm eternally grateful that my 17 year old son actually "gets" The Clash and hasn't been suckered, like most of todays youth, into listening to the puerile pish that passes for music nowadays.

Mikerade, you're right most people didn't know the Clash, before 'Rock the Casbah, but there best work appears on the first 2 albums, N0. 1 album 'THE CLASH'my absolute favourite of course and reportedly recorded in 48 hours at 'rehearsals rehearsals'. ALL you newbies to the Clash please buy their really early PUNK stuff its the best.......

Well I actually said it's just one band because shivmasta91 said those were the 3 best bands and I thought he meant there were 3 bands in the video, but now I realise it was a response, I would like to say I love the Clash, they're in my top20, and I think they were awsome and ''Not just a band''. They taught me that anger can power, and were of the first bands I liked because of their message, not just their music. I'm glad there's still some people that love the Clash Sorry for my english.

Remember when we got pissed because they went on saturday night live and we knew it meant every a-hole would buy thier album (I say album because nobody but us knew they had albums before Rock the Casbah) and we felt like it all wrong, them getting popular. i'm not sure exactly who wrote it, but i know the Bobby Fuller Four did one of the first versions & is probably the most well known...nope, nvm, according to wikipedia, Sonny Curtis and the Crickets originally did the song, but its just not as well known as bobby fuller four & the clash
