@TheHxholden Alder is more of a neutral sounding tonewood. Ash is somewhat brighter w/ a more immedeate attack, very percussive w/ a tight bottom end. I've got both...but you can't narrow the tonal differences between two guitars down to the body wood....other factors contribute to the tone as well....
Great sound and playing, as usual. I just bought the same cobalt blue CS tele on eBay and should receive it this Wed. Now if I could just play it as well as you! Keep up the great licks. From Seattle.
Yeah, just lay back & groove man!!! Nice juicy tone you have going there. Are you playing through an old Deluxe Reverb? Wish you would have used the neck pickup for a couple of bars!
How can you not love a tele? Yours really sounds very nice! Man would I love to have it! I play a 1990 American Standard Telecaster which I just love!! Keep rocking man! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"
@TheEdMulrooneyShow well you can really see the quality in the craftmenship, thats for sure..neck pocket is a tight fit..it feel like a tele should, solid. stays in tune awesome. I love the neck, its much bigger than the others i've owned. 9.5 radius with a soft "c" shape.
Seems like the build quality varies from guitar to guitar more so with Fenders than with other builders, but when you get the right one it's just magical. A custom shop model seems to give you a good chance of getting one where the neck matches the body just right and everything resonates perfectly, but there are still some off the rack ones you can get lucky with that feel like a $3500 Suhr. A good Am Standard strat is still the best value out there IMO
Nice playing! I have one of those guitars in burgundy mist with rosewood fretboard.
