A ruddy marvelous job here, Bethan! I love everything about it. You get the story/message across, I understand it completely, and as always, you're a pleasure to watch!
The tears of a clown. Poor Charlie Monroe. He was a Great Pretender. Sniff. Does this movie come with kleenex and a bottle of Vodka? Sniff glug. glug sniff.
Some great little slapstick moments in there Beth - the trip at the top of the stairs and the doggie directions cracked me up...and its good to see the Charlie walk has a bit of a monroe wiggle. lol
Charlies films had an element of sadness/ pathos and yours is all the better for it.I love funny slapstick bits but the inner emptyness of the clown in close up gives it more depth - thats beautifully framed with the glass and half face . Tears and laugher are close companions. Great choice of music too. John 'Bond' Barry is one of my fave film scorers. And Charlies sad 'smile' was made to be in there.
The Lady is A Trampette. Your friends did great too. And the dogs..lol Tis Brill Beth.
I had to watch it twice to really get it. All based on the quote. Comedy acting and dramatic, like Chaplin's films. Love the girl's 20's hat. Believable face expressions. Enjoyable.
Double dare you to make another one with a plot and full wardrobe. Silent, of course.
