Before disassembly I number each rocker and stand with a sharpy. I clean them in order and redo the number after the cleaning. This makes putting them back on exactly the way they were easy.
I have a ford 390 ,i try to disassemble the rocket from the shaft and the stand are very hard to removed. I wanna know if its normal.....Sorry for the vocabular i'm not speeking english
Disassembly is the hardest part because of years of varnish build-up in the shaft. Once you have everything apart, clean everything, machine as necessary and reassemble.
nice Spitfire part! noticed the pedistal was even in 1 piece! I'm not sure Spitfire valve's can ever stay adjusted long enough to enjoy your polished rocker arms!!!
My MK1 Capri (prefacelift thank you) has the 2.0 and I will either build a fast road 2.0 or maybe the large bore 2.3 version. The Justy has a very kinky 9-valve 1190cc 3-cyl that I am hoping to hire you to do some special stuff to.
The shaft is straight, sometimes the lathe doesn't get it quite centered unless I take the time to dial the part in, in this case I'm polishing, not turning to a center line.
Thanks for this video. Machining is a great way for me to make some O/T as well as saving my boss a little cash.

I have a question whats the differents of a 1.52 rocker arm and a 1.5 and 1.6 rocker arms

@9009MHHP the larger ratio rockers will give you more lift at the valves. A inexpensive way to get more performance for not much money.

Hi. Do you recommend reusing the springs or finding new ones?

If they are in good shape, reuse them.

I notice some grinds with lub oil and some cuts and grinds without lub oil. What determines when you lub the cut or grind to use lub oil?

I would love to but right now I have my hands full with a MK1 Capri and this terrible Justy habit that I just can't shake.

What engine is in the Mk 1? 2,0's can be made to go like stink! What engine is in the Justy? Never had one come across my path, as of yet.
