My horse always does that at the canter. She puts her head down and does this weird buck/canter thing.

My pony does that to. When I used to canter her bareback, she would drop her head down and buck a little. It almost got me off every time!

I also knew an apaloosa that acted like that. He is paying more attention to the cameraperson than he is to the rider, who is working VERY hard to keep that pony going well.

I ride a mustang and she has a lot of attitude! its always important is that as soon as she or he throws the least bit of a buck you slap them behind your leg with a crop and if they buck hit them again. you have to keep doing it till they listen to you. then they will do what you say with out a problem. Great riding though!! very great pare!!

@123leelee091 with alot of horses i train/ride if you did that the horse would buck you off and stomp you. the key that helps us since our horses are crop shy because of people who train their horses like you, is that as soon as they throw a buck at you, you pull their head to your knee this way they can't buck cause you've taken their center. the crop isn't supposed to be used to beat a lesson into a horse its a way to remind them to go you don't hit a horse with a crop you tap.

Is she a mare? I see mares do this all the time... mainly because of some hormonal stage... I have a gelding so i cant explain it aswell. When she did it the first time its okay to be alittle frightened. But if she keeps doing it... you cant be scared anymore. You have to tell her to stop... THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! Type thing...lol. Get mad at her... Use your crop... kick her... SOMETHING! Dont always look at your coach! Try hitting her right behind your leg... to give her the idea that its you.

How old is this horse? Just a suggestion my 3yr old use to do this everytime I asked for the canter and after jumps... it was very annoying I know how you feel... but what really helped was I just sat up and pulled him up but kept my leg on and pushed him through it... If I let him quit everytime he did it he would keep trying but once he learned he was going to have to keep going (not circle or slow down) he stopped doing it because it wasn't fun anymore

this one horse that is at the stables i ride at pretty much attacks you. one of the trainers was riding him, he fell the horse was bucking like mad, and Glen(the instructor) couldn't even get close enough to untack him without the horse ( Sarge) attacking him ( biting rearing kicking ect.)

I had a horse that was a celebratory bucker. I didn't like it; I gave him to a 15 year old boy and they COMPLETELY LOVE each other!!!! Quas has learned - there are times it's ok to play, and times when it is not. Never in the show ring. It's all good.

No, Happy isn't mine. He was my trainer's lesson pony, but now she sold him to a fellow Pony Clubber that takes really good care of him. He threw off this girl at camp this year and another girl in a lesson so yeah she sold him. But he's in great care! :D
