  • One of the best short-episode-television series ever made. Intelligent, modern dialog and superb actors. Many can be mentioned, but James Spader and William Shatner takes the price. When Denny says to Alan : "You´re a democrate, entitled to make a lot of complains, without offering any solutions". On the dot.

    Or: As one penis said to another penis "You can call me fat". hehehehe. .

    I dont know if Denny actually said that, but it would be in his spirit.

  • Shatner says it wasn't a comeback, but if you look at the crap hes been on and his past acting abilities, this is more than a comeback, it is his best role ever. If that doesn't bring hope I don't know what does, but in later years he became a true actor. He is lucky to have found David E. Kelley and Kelley was lucky to find him, it would be a match made in heaven if he wasn't already married to James Spader and Kelley being married to Michelle Phifer.

  • Denny Crane wasn't Mr. Shatner's best role. It was his role as Corp. Chipman in "The Andersonville Trial" directed by George C. Scott in the early 70s. It's on dvd. Best acting in a play was probably "Henry V" at Stratford, ON.

  • The show has one less actor now,because he thought he was invisible.This should go to show...wear your seatbelt everytime!!!! So long Justin.You were a wonderful person and I am so sad for your family and fans for why you didn't wear that damn belt,we will never know.

    I am a big Star Trek fan, I love all of the shows deeply but after watching five seasons of Boston Legal, I think Bill gave his best performances here and to me he is Denny Crane now, instead of Kirk or Hooker. And he deserved all the awards he got for this role, really outstanding work.

  • I love the SHAT!  When BL 1st started I tried to tell my friend about it, she interrupted me to say she hates William Shatner "he's a disgusting pig!" I had to laugh and told her "but, that's just it, that's what he's playing!" She finally came around and loves the show. I think the Shat is so misunderstood by too many!

  • Boston Legal is the BEST show on TV. He totally deserved this award and he deserves many more like it. Denny Crane is the cutest and weirdest character, but always lovable. Thumbs up to Shatner. Love the guy :)

  • Absolutely deserved!!!! Great show, and Spader and Shatner are the best! At the end of the road, i'm sure that William Shatner will be remainded by two caracters: Captain Kirk and Denny Crane.

  • i agree. i always hated Star Trek (i don't mean to get the "trek-ees" all pissed off at me) but Denny Crane is the perfect character for William Shatner. He is awesome on that show!
